Scott Peterson's Defense Could Rest Tuesday Scott Peterson's defense team could rest its case Tuesday.
On Monday, his lawyer called on Peterson's mother to try to explain why he had nearly $15,000 in cash on him when he was arrested. She says she gave him back $10,000 that she accidentally withdrew from his account.
His lawyer also questioned police about whether someone else could have been responsible for the death of Scott's wife, Laci, and her baby.
Prosecutors say he killed her and dumped her body into the San Francisco Bay nearly two years ago.
The defense maintains ........
Yep, nobody is buying that line of bull from Jackie. Even their ardent defender Chris Pixley (who mentioned spending a week with the Petersons after SP got arrested), said he didn't know if it went over well with Jackie on the stand.
But... but... wait! Where are all the people who saw Laci walking the dog?? Where is the lady at the warehouse who saw Laci there, no doubt sitting in the boat? Where is... where is...the eminent Dr. LEE?? (hack hack spit)

And another thing! It just so happens that NORMAL jurors don't exactly take kindly to witnesses who talk about "dormant" bank accounts full of thousands of dollars that they "forget about" or whatever. I heard one of the jurors gave ol' Jackie a look of surprise when she explained about her bank account.

Yes, and you think the jurors are gonna feel sympathetic about the poor lady who has so much money, she mixes up all the bank accounts? Hell, I've known cases where the lawyer begged a client to dress down when testifying, so the jurors wouldn't think of her as a "rich b*tch".
There is talk that the Judge is thinking about telling the Jury that they may consider 2nd degree murder when they get the case for deliberation. May be easier for some to convict if they don't have to send him to Death row.
And I read that in CA, the Defense cannot protest the Judge if that's his decision.
I heard same thing Jackie..2nd degree for Laci and 1st degree for Conner because never tried to save Conner's life...I can handle2 LWOP to be served consecutively !!!! Let him have nightmares ever night about his evildeeds.. I an sure Laci will haunt him all she can..
