Director Theo van Gogh murdered in Amsterdam (for his political views)

AMSTERDAM — Film director Theo van Gogh was shot and killed in Amsterdam on Tuesday morning, his production company said.

Theo van GoghBy midday, police had confirmed the film director's death, but earlier reporters at the scene say Van Gogh was shot and stabbed at the front door of the city council office on the Linnaeusstraat in Amsterdam around 9am.

He managed to get to the other side of the street where he was again shot and stabbed. He died at the scene, Planet News reported. Reporters at the scene said his body was covered by a white sheet.

The police said that the suspected killer ran into the nearby Oosterpark and shot at police vehicles on the Mauritskade, injuring one officer. The police returned fire, hitting the suspect in the leg.

Both the injured officer and the suspect have been taken to hospital. Both are expected to live.

Locals claim the assassin looked like "a Muslim" and that a letter was left on Van Gogh's body. The letter allegedly had Islamic text, but this has not been confirmed.

Van Gogh, 47, directed the controversial movie Submission — written by Somali-born MP Ayaan Hirsi Ali — which criticised the Koran for sanctioning domestic violence in Islamic communities.

He recently received numerous death threats following the release of Submission. He was also making a movie about populist Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn who was assassinated in Hilversum in May 2002. The film is due for release on the internet via Tiscali in several weeks time.

Meanwhile, RTL-Z business news reported that Hirsi Ali, who wrote the scenario for the film Submission, has been taken to a secure location by her protection officers. She has had armed protection for more than a year after her life was threatened when she criticised Islam.

She famously described the Muslim prophet Mohammed as a "pervert" by modern standards for marrying a 12-year-old girl.

Late last month a man was jailed for posting a death threat against Hirsi Ali on the internet following the screening of Submission on Dutch television in August.

Also Van Gogh just made a movie about the death of Pim Fortuyn, were he harshly critizizes the lefties for demonizing Fortuyn.

Oh, in that case it sounds like Van Gogh was axing for it.

Volkert van der Graafwas was described as an animal rights activist. So, what did Fortuyn do to make him mad? Did he wear fur coats?

You need to ship all those muzzies back to Morocco and Algeria. They're destroying the fabric of your country.

Theo Van Gogh is probably a decendent of Vincent's beloved brother, Theo Van Gogh.

Wait till they knock off a few Hollywood directors for putting too much sex in their movies. Or maybe Barbara Striesand for being too jewish. I guess then the libs will still call them misunderstood.

There's no question as to the motive, it appears (religion of peace, blahblahblah):

A Dutch film-maker who received death threats after making a movie criticising the treatment of women under Islam was murdered in an Amsterdam street today.

A suspect, a 26-year-old man with dual Dutch-Moroccan nationality, was arrested after a shoot-out with officers that left him wounded, police said.

Theo van Gogh had been threatened after the August airing of his film, Submission, which he made with a right-wing Dutch politician who had renounced the Islamic faith of her birth. Van Gogh had received police protection after its release.

In a recent radio interview Van Gogh dismissed the threats and called the movie “the best protection I could have. It’s not something I worry about”.

Police said Van Gogh’s killer shot and stabbed his victim and left a note on his body. They declined to comment on reports that Van Gogh’s neck was slashed.

Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende called on the Dutch people to remain calm and not to jump to conclusions.

In a report by Dutch national broadcaster NOS, an unidentified witness who lives in the neighbourhood said she heard six shots and saw the suspect concealing a gun. She said he walked away slowly, spoke to someone at the edge of the park, and then ran.

She said he was wearing a long beard and Islamic garb and appeared to be either an Arabic man or someone disguised as a Muslim.

Another unidentified witness told Dutch Radio 1 the killer arrived by bicycle and shot Van Gogh as he got out of a car. “He fell backward on the bicycle path and just laid there. The shooter stayed next to him and waited. Waited to make sure he was dead.”

In a written statement, the prime minister said, “Nothing is known about the motive.

“I want to call on everyone not to jump to far-reaching conclusions. The facts must first be carefully weighed so let’s allow the investigators to do their jobs,” he said.

Police declined to comment on the possible motive or to give further details.

Police spokesman Eric Vermeulen said the attacker fled to the nearby East Park, and was arrested after exchanging gunfire with police. Both the suspect and a policeman suffered minor injuries.

This individual Van Gogh did not deserve this ending; I've surfed the net, finding him a portly fellow. If you surf google images, quite a few images come up.

I assume the writer was a Somali woman. We have a lot of Somalis here because of the wars in Somalia; it may be Moslem vs. Moslem. Then, in Sudan, Arab Moslems against Black African Moslems, at least in part it appears. If I am not correct, anyone can feel free to correct me.

I don't know the film but a film against domestic violence certainly could be a noble undertaking.

There must be much more to this story. What a tragedy.

As for the writer-politician Ayaan Hirsi Ali; some excerpts from one story http://www.rnw.nl/hotspots/html/ned030110.html :

"...she switched political sides from the Dutch labour party to the right-wing liberal VVD. " (I placed this in, because I thought liberal was written in one story.

"In her infant years, she underwent the traditional local ritual of genital mutilation. When Somalia was plunged into turmoil, the family moved to Saudi Arabia, where she was forced to wear a veil and stay indoors."

"Calling herself an ex-Muslim, she documented thousands of cases of physical violence of these women, including beatings, incest and sexual abuse, and railed against the Dutch authorities for doing too little to stop these practices. "

End of excerpts;

>>>Also Van Gogh just made a movie about the death of Pim Fortuyn, were he harshly critizizes the lefties for demonizing Fortuyn<<<<

Dutch are neck-deep into the sewage of aiding and abetting Islamonazis and Belkenende knows it very well.

If Dutch have spine, they would reveal what they know about Srebrenica hoax. But they don't have it. As a result, the camel in their own tent is killing and threatening them.

Dutch stood by idly while Nederland was turned into Nederistan. Perhaps the Dutch deserve no better than to be dhimmis. Hopefully, someone smart enough will arrange the Dutch art treasure to be spirited out of Nederland before it is too late.

Islamic justification of this murder:

From the koran:

017.033
YUSUFALI: Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand qisas or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the Law).
PICKTHAL: And slay not the life which Allah hath forbidden save with right. Whoso is slain wrongfully, We have given power unto his heir, but let him not commit excess in slaying. Lo! he will be helped.
SHAKIR: And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying; surely he is aided.

http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/017.qmt.html

So you can kill anyone if it's for a just cause. What is a just cause? The hadith tells the story of a Jewish poet who, just like Theo van Gogh, insult islam, allah and his messenger:

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59, Number 369:
Narrated Jabir Abdullah:
Allah's messenger said "Who is willing to kill Ka`b bin al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His apostle?" Thereupon Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's messenger! Would you like that I kill him?" The prophet said, "Yes". Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Ka`b). The prophet said, "You may say it."
