Yup, Senator Edwards speaks. SoreLoserman II begins tonight, but I'm not waiting!

Congratulations President Bush!!

It's all over but the crying for the SoreLosermen!!

And now it's time for us to start planning the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball II!

I've had Kristinn checking venues and prices and we're in the process of getting a proposal from the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC (the other Wyndham that we used last time is already booked).

The costs have more than doubled from our first ball, so we're estimating the price per person will have to be in the neighborhood of $175 per person. We'll also have to move fast on this. We'll need to make a quick decision as soon after the elections results are official as we possibly can and then we'll need to quickly raise the funds to put up the required deposit.

So, here's the question: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?

If so, please post here if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party.

Thank you all very much and hope to see you in DC on January 20th!!

By the way, everyone told us last time that the Free Republic Ball was the best one in town and it was half the price or less than all the others. I suspect that this Ball will also be the best in town and at $175 will still be priced less than any other!

I'm sorry to be doing the Kerry flip-flop, but the person I was going to bring just said they can't make it after all. Apologies, but will you please make that just ONE ticket for Freepertoo? I'll just have to grab one of you good looking Republican guys for a dance or two!

I'll be in Belize on the 20th, so I'll leave my best wishes and thoughts with all attendees this time. Can't wait for the live thread and the pictures!

(And if everything goes well, I'll have some REAL Viking Kitty pictures to bring back with me. The spotted ones that live wild in the jungles).

Sounds fantastic ~ Just made my reservations and have 3 others for the Inauguration so, for now, count us in and I would very much like to sponsor a "Swiftie" if you would give me a name and an address to communicate with them directly. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Excited! From Orange County, the county with the BIGGEST Bush margin in the Country. God Bless our President and America. How do we get more information as plans go along?

In honor of the media's moniker for us, perhaps something to do with pajamas might be in order.

How about red silk pajamas with cowboy boots and cowboy hats?
