How can we start an aggressive campaign to boycott their movies. Think about it, if all those "red states", just stopped going to the movies for 6 months or a year...what it would do to their careers? Just wait for the DVD. That way they don't get record number box office returns....

Look at the situation this way - this is a re-allocation of resources. Taken away from those who have too much, and who are using it poorly, and redistributing it to people who keep it in circulation. Like bank robbers spending the proceeds of their theft. No real wealth was created, but boy, did the local economy ever kick up.

Money disbursed this way was not available to purchase coke or other hard drugs, and probably most of it stayed in the US instead of streaming south to Colombia.

Hi, kattracks:

The Dems still don't get it.

No one goes to a concert to listen to a canned political speech.

Considering that "Get Out The Vote" and "Vote Or Die!" registered large numbers of young voters. But only one in ten actually cast votes.

I'd say that was money well spent!

Jack.

FR is the perfect place to start a boycott. But I rather be selective. There are some good guys out there like Mel Gibson. Pick our targets.
To add to my early list, I forgot Steven Spielberg. He's a major democrap.

Chad Griffin, a Hollywood-based public affairs consultant and political strategist, quipped: "A lot of the Hollywood people with whom I spoke were saying, `Thank God we live in the People's Republic of California.' " They were also talking about the need for a coalition to build a bridge between New York and California - with no onramps."

You know what tune is going through my head right now? The theme to Bridge On The River Kwai.

It's getting to the point that I don't want to know anything about artists that I like anymore, because I don't want to think about how much they would hate me if I ever met them.

I like this.

The media tricks and Rathergate lies didn't work for them.
The outpouring of Hollyweird scum didn't work for them.
"Crock the Vote" failed.
Michael Moore-on failed.
Bubba didn't even help.
Neither did the endorsement from Osama.
Best of all, even the money of Soros and his minions couldn't buy the vote.

Come 2008, it's not likely that the Dems will have that much assistance again. They went down in flames and many got burned in the process of giving it their best shot.

Yes, 2008 looks good already.

Truth and good prevail over hyped trash once again.

Team America did the one thing you're not supposed to do. It made fun of people who have no sense of humor at all. Might as well have been a 30mm depleted uranium round from the nose of a warthog hitting a squash. It was reviewed curtly and quickly disappeared from the pages of the press. EXCEPT - the following weekend they entertainment press led with, "Team America doesn't catch that Sharky movie!!!! Nahnahnanahnah! All of the crap they put out to take Bush down vapourized under the heel of SATIRE!!! A playwrite friend of mine once said that the difference between comedy and satire was that satire closed after one night. Two reasons, a, It's Kind of like Claudius watching the play within the play--LIGHTS LIGHTS The King rises (great response but try it to often and you lose your head) b, its usually tied to a specific event, the theme may be universal but the referenced event is tied to the now which quickly becomes the then. Anyway, Team America blew the britches off!

The Rock the Vote website claims they are non partisan. Now why would one of their board members say they wasted alot of money?

Exactly. And to prove the point that they ARE partisan, they spent it primarily in Battleground States -- by their own admission! So, to the people that apparently didn't get SMETO's point, ask yourselves: why would a "non-partisan" group focus on Battleground States in particular if they weren't trying to influence the election toward Kerry? If they were "just trying to get out the youth vote," why focus specifically on closely-contested states? Apparently, Rock the Vote couldn't care less if young people in Texas or New York vote.

Just read the second two paragraphs from the article in succession:

Sen. John F. Kerry's bid for the White House...
"We squandered record amounts of money," said Dan Adler, board member of Rock the Vote...

When I saw that movie, I swear the first 20 minutes I could hardly see the screen I was laughing so hard. I was crying, I never laughed so hard. The terrorists talking "dikkadikkadnikka" then they destroy everything in Paris "Success", and just when you try to stop laughing comes the broadway play "everyone has Aids" I thought I was gonna have a heart attack I was laughing so hard.

My brother was on the floor with that one part when Gary goes in disguise with the towel on his head like he just stepped out the shower, and they ask him the sign he should give, and his arms fly up in the air! Oh forget it, that one had my brother literally on the floor, he fell out of his seat.

I sent an email to RTV and told them they are being untruthful about who they are.
I asked if this is what we should be teaching our young people.
I won't hold my breath for a reply.

Oh yeah.......but we must use the highest quality available. We don't want to do anything on the cheap in status-driven Follywood.

I predict that there will be a lot of movies that hollywierd expects to do well that will fall flat on their faces.

I saw an ad today for the Kinsey movie. They said it was Oscar-worthy. I don't know whether I should throw up or snore.

""I don't think Hollywood could have done more without alienating the middle of the country," Obst said. "We raised a significant amount of money. The counterculture knocked itself out.""

I sit here stunned yet again. They STILL just don't get it do they? THEY DID alienate middle america, and it is not about them. I think we are safe from these wankers. Their pride prevents them from seeing themselves for who and what they are, and thus will continue to do more of the same... LOSE.
