Just lately (noticeably since the US election result) there seems to be an awful lot of anti-British sentiment on here (there always was a little but I put that down to a handful of xenophobic kiddies)
What I would like to know is do most Freepers now share the low opinion that some (many) on here seem to have of our nation or is it just a small (but very vocal) minority of morons?
I've enjoyed this forum (for the relatively short time that I've contributed) and have always liked Americans in general, but I now find myself reconsidering my thoughts on both.
If we Brits are not liked or wanted around here, I think I'll probably discontinue my involvement.

What are you talking about? I've never seen any anti-brit statement the couple of months I've been here.

Maybe some people got mad about the recent mirror UK covers?

Please also ignore The Guardian. It's THOSE types of Brits whom we knock aroud just as we do our idiots here in the good ole' US of A.

Actually I've only seen people react to the British headline claiming that millions of Americans are dumb.

It was the Guardian with "Operation Ohio" that started it. Nothing pisses off an American like somebody telling us how we should vote "for the safety of the world."

The most Brit-bashing I saw was in response to the Guardian e-mail campaign against President Bush. For the most part, Brits have been welcomed & respected.
Maybe you should talk to Ivan, check to see if he's found the site to be Brit-bashing.

Oh, if your talking about that Guardian letter affair, the Guardian should have known better. You and your country should be pissed at them for meddling and not as us for responding. If we did the same thing to Britain you know what we would have been told so get over it.
