Too late. The time for conservatives to signal their displeasure was BEFORE the election. He should have been scared right into securing the border.
But no, Bush is the salvation of the world and he cannot be criticized.
Well, I was shocked to find out that I am "feeble minded" but to hear you have dementia puts me into quite a tailspin.
Is there no end to your mean-spirited and nasty rhetoric?
It's astounding how you lash out at posters who disagree with you.
Why don't you try presenting some facts or at least attempt to address the issue, instead of your mindless insults and vitriol.
Just a suggestion!
I have a one word definition for Howlin: HYPOCRITE
I did hear a Congressman from Iowa last night on the Savage show. His name is Tom King. He is in the immigration reform caucus and sounded like they're not surprised either. I believe they have a game plan to stop this but the problem is that the President just won't enforce our immigration laws or stop these intruders at the borders.
When it comes to these threads, sanity is not allowed. All people do is become knee jerk reactionaries even if the facts don't support their opinions. No where have I heard Bush call for amnesty. In the minds of most in this thread, the only thing that will make them happy is if Bush orders the rounding up and execution of anyone who has entered this country illegally.
Hell, I'm still trying to get out of the working-class.
One word you can't back up.
"If you admit you are doing, have done or will do those types of jobs, either type will sneer and say you deserve to lose out to an illegal alien.
Wage busting clowns, the lot of them."
Exactly....notice, though, that none of them will go up to a gang of American construction workers or carpenters and spout this crap. They say it in the safety of an anonymous MB. Notice that they're also very careful not to ever let on that they are personally profiting off the use of illegal alien labor.
My whole family is blue collar. My friends are blue-collar workers - construction, carpentry, welders, skilled trades, etc. My husband is a crane operator. This **it is personal for me. If they think we're all going to skip happily off to the poorhouse while they buy up our assets for pennies on the dollar, they're going to be in for a big surprise.
LOL, you've never been anything but a hypocrite.
Huh? What are you talking about?
I don't take any drugs, let alone "drug cocktails".
You sound like you need some pain killers girl!
He's a fool, but not a moron. He'll never utter "amnesty", but he'll call it everything but, even all the while amnesty is just what it is.
In the minds of most in this thread, the only thing that will make them happy is if Bush orders the rounding up and execution of anyone who has entered this country illegally.
Oh yeah? Great job with the over the top rhetoric. I'd be perfectly happy with the simple deportation of the illegals and prevention of any more coming in.
Of course if this had come out the last week in October, Kerry would be President. Its small comfort he would have done exactly the same thing. <sarcasm
I don't agree with President Bush's plan, but it isn't a blanket amnesty plan. He wants all these "workers" to be registered, as far as I can tell.
Protease Inhibitors?
Did your daddy work in a mill?
No. He wanted to give them all green cards and then citizenship.
They're not calling it an amnesty but if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, its a duck. Basically, its a reward for breaking the laws of the country. And they're not enforcing sanctions on miscreant employers today. So tell me again how they're strengthening homeland security by weakening border protection.
