Ok,
No_Outcome_But_Victory brought up a good point on an earlier thread. Lets set up a list of some charity organizations that are sending relief to the victums of the Christmas earthquake.

I have a few here. Of course the Red Cross

www.redcross.org

This is the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod page for emergency relief. I think that they are updating as more gets organized.

http://www.lcms.org/pages/internal.asp?NavID=1872

I know that there are many others.

Salvation mentioned a Father Emerito that does mission activities in the area, but I don't have a good link for him

If anyone knows of a place to donate money, food, or any other supplies, please post on the thread.

Dear sir,
This is the thread that No_Outcome_But_Victory suggested. I have listed the few organizations I know of right now.

If this is not a good place to post this thread, feel free to move it.

Salvation, I am pinging you because you mentioned a priest that does work in one of the effected areas. If you have any more info feel free to update.

Thanks everyone.

After Sri Lanka objected to help from Israel, you better find some charities that go exclusively to Thailand and India... Not a penny to Indonesia or Sri Lanka!

Please don't send any money to Sri Lanka. The bigots can help themselves.

Why should people there have to suffer for the poor choices of the government and a mentally-ill minority?

Sri Lanka isn't a Muslim country. They're just held hostage by Muslims.

This is a ping for organizations that will help the victims of the earthquake/tidal wave.

It is asked that if any of you know any organizations whether connected with your church tradition that you trust to please post them here so we may be able to help.

That's whether OR NOT they are connected to your church.

Only fools would send money to "tsunami victims".

This money WILL get into the hands of terroists and will be used to kill Americans.

Think "Oil for Food".

Besides, your tax dollars are being given to these nations anyway. When America announces it is giving cash to these nations, it is your tax dollars already being given.

If you love America, do not give one penny to these charities.

This is for people to post to Organizations that will help, that THEY TRUST.

Your commentary is not wanted here, thanks.

I can see that if you send it to the UN, and maybe the International Red Cross, but other aid groups like the Salvation Army?

Personally, I will be sending money to Christian relief organizations that I have either had contact with before or had referred to me by people I trust.

Similar with the Beslen tragedy. We gave money through the Orthodox Church in the area, not through any "mainstream" relief organization.

Southern Baptist response and online giving options found here. With workers already on the ground and supported, 100% of donations for tsunami victims goes for the intended purpose.

Catholic Relief Services does some very good work in Africa and Asia. https://www.catholicrelief.org/make_a_gift/contribute.cfm

Be sure to earmark it for tsunami relief.

If you love America, do not give one penny to these charities.

So much hate...Your lack of compassion will consume you. Find relief now.
