Yeah, give him mercy. As soon as he exposes at least ten others in the insurgency. And then mercy will consist of locking him up for the rest of his disgusting life instead of turning him over to an Iraqi crowd for dismemberment.

Stone him to death. Just like the old days. Bullets are too expensive.

Have you priced rocks lately?

Give him a trial, punish him for what he is convicted of.

I agree w/ you, street justice is the last thing we need to let the Iraqis downward spiral into.

I posted this in another thread.

Looks like the new Iraqi cops got him. I'm sure he's going to get what's coming to him and I think it'd be better if he was put through Iraq's new justice system rather than street justice (not that he's innocent). I just think the Iraqis gotta start learning their new system sooner or later.

The utter gall of him. He's asking for "mercy"? What "mercy" was he going to show his intended victims?

Shoot. Shovel. Shut up.

I remember the media campaign stoking "world-wide outrage" following the publication of that Vietnam-era photo. I couldn't understand it, myself. But it was the Abu Ghraib of its time.

A very powerful picture package! Sure beats seeing a US Marine having to shoot an injured person who is feigning death, possibly to use the time to kill himself and the Marines in the room. My hat is off to this photojournalist. I would like to know what became of this man. I think the fact he has not been shot yet, or had his burned body strung up from a nearby bridge speaks to the his captors being smart enough to know he probably has a wealth of intelligence about terrorists activities, who they are, where they are and maybe some idea of their future plans. If he has that info he can use it to bargain for his own future. I wonder if they'll give him a chance to say "I'll take what's behind door number 3".

A glorious Arab warrior fighting for the dignity of his people. By planting bombs under their cars.

And what's the deal with no shirt? It's just like an episode of Cops!

Hi All-

Looks like the Kofi Annan "UN stolen oil money for food" program has worked well for this buff dude.

Yes, it does now that you mention it. I guess that was just to hold him over until they could find a woman willing to part with her underwear so that he could be treated appropriately.

I am so happy to see he is being handled by men who are not wearing those cowardly black masks/hoods! He is being handled men who are not afraid of being identified and that tells me they are gaining in strength in that area. This gives me hope that the Jan. 30th turnout will be surprisingly large, even in the face of retributions promised by the other side.
