Greg X. Volz's On Bended Knee is the best work he did!

The first Petra album we bought was "Never Say Die." At the time my wife and I lead a folk youth group for our church (long before pop band "Worship Teams" were the rage). We heard "The Coloring Song" on the radio and she wanted to learn it so we could use it. She called me at work and said something like:

"Well, I liked the coloring song, but the next song on the album was VERY different. I think you're going to like the album better than I do."

I cracked up when I heard the album. "Chameleon" follows and it starts with a screaming guitar lick. I could just imagine her reaction. She's got a Bachelor's of Music in performance on the bass viol.

Another good one from that album was "Prase Ye The Lord."

Shalom.

Heart is my #1 or #2 band (ducking for cover).

Hey, no need to duck. I read what I wrote and I dind't mean to say that "Heart" didn't seem to get it, but that women didn't seem to get it. Ann and Nancy get it.

"Barracuda" just rocks.

I'd have to agree.

Have you heard their new CD "Jupiter's Darling?" It's pretty good. They've gone back to their 70s roots, thank goodness.

No, but thanks for the suggestion. I'll definately have to give it a spin.

(Can you tell I miss my vinyl?)

Shalom.

Yep, I grew up in the shadow of O'Hare and live in the western (southwestern- depending on who you talk to) suburbs.

Now that I think about it, nobody was paying attention to what was going on on-stage while Blue Oyster Cult was playing their set.

How in blue blazes did this guy get my picture? I refer, of course, to the Brooke Burns gif.

Shaddup. A gal can dream, can't she?

I'm on the North Shore (have to dodge limo libs at every turn.) One day I just might not *dodge.* Just kidding of course. Have a GREAT weekend. I'm sure you'll be haaaaaaahhhhhhhhhht wherever you go. :-)

P.S. Roe and Jim have me laughing out loud in my car almost every day. Fellow motorists lay on the gas to get away from me when they see it. I like that though, cuz then I have the lanes to myself. (Actually, I blow around town WAY too fast--I'm the one with the pedal to the metal. I'm an awt-law.)

Excellent homepage. Especially that first paragraph. Alas, I best not visit that DU thread from here. Afraid of what nasties I might catch, and that's if my employer's web censor doesn't yank my privileges first! :-D

They sure manage to get their panties in a bunch over the oddest things, hmmmmmmmmmmm.
