I'm half Italian, but that doesn't mean I can tell the difference between Italian and Spanish names.

LOL, I'm half Italian too, and know some Spanish, but still it's hard to tell the difference. If I told you my dad's family's last name (they claim to be 100% Italian and think that everyone else are lesser beings), you would think it was French. I've researched it and found it can only be Spanish. In fact, it is a common name in Spain.
So much for being 100% Italian, eh?!

Being half Italian is a good thing. A friend and I spent a month touring the byways and back roads of Northern Italy a few years ago. It was SO beautiful and interesting and the people were just so nice. Except for that town where all the alabaster comes from (can't remember the name), they were real snots there.
