Words are not the problem.
The meaning behind the word is the problem.
This is why they can switch from socialist, to Liberal, to Moderate, to centrist to progressive and still face the same issues of distrust and dislike. They are who they are no matter what word they confiscate to label themselves as.
Liberal isn't a bad word in it's traditionalist sense. It was when they used it as a cover for advanced socialism and in some case communism that it developed the loaded poison it holds.
When REAL Liberals take back the traditional meaning behind the word, it'll once again be acceptable to the American public.
LOL!!! I can guarantee you that in the last 20 years, 99% of kids graduating from high school weren't even taught what the word, "populism" means. They're gonna' have to go back to the drawing board, because "populism" ain't gonna' cut it.

From my perspective, knowing several libs and talking to them, the denunciations are coming mostly from them towards conservatives. We're so dumb, how do we even get dressed in the morning and hold a job type of stuff, and how, pray tell us, could you have voted for that arrogant cowboy, Bush.
