TERRI SCHIAVO DAILY MARCH 2005 PART 6- NO FOOD OR WATER IN THE 6TH-7TH DAYS - GOOD FRIDAY
various | 3-24-05

Posted on 03/25/2005 12:17:45 AM PST by STARWISE

Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

Good point, Graymatter!!

As far as I'm concerned Mel Gibson only gave lips service to supporting Terri. The Christian community has made that man millions. Where is he??

He should have been at the vigil if he was serious. He probably has his own private jet.

One thing I have learned thru this hellish ordeal is the following:

DO NOT LOOK AT WHAT THEY SAY - INSTEAD - LQQK AT THEIR ACTUAL DEEDS~~!!

If it's a public school it would probably be more like, "We have to send you kids to another school for a few days. Some right wing Christian extremists are organizing and are likely to riot or set off bombs."

As I recall, at 1 a.m. March 18 (i.e. 12 hours before the the stated time for the commencement of the judicial execution), it was a US Senate committee heded by Senator Enzi (R-Wyoming) who subpoenaed Terri, thinking that she personally was now under federal witness protection. How come the COUNTY_LEVEL probate judge had the ability to defy a US Senater subpoena by demanding the execution of a Senate witness?

The US House committee subpoenaed (I believe) Judge Gree, Michael Schiavo, and two other people.

I am still kicking myself for not getting arrested for trying to bring her water when I was there....

I am a terrible Christian.... even now, I am not willing to drive down there and give her water....

God please forgive me for my selfishness...

You are not a terrible Christian! God bless you for going down there and supporting her family. You are precious, and you are a kind-hearted human being.

EC.....unless a lot of people rushed the hospice at the same time youtrying to take her water would have only been symbolic......... God knows your heart.

Euthanasia is illegal in every state in America. Yet
---

Saw today's news--
Randal T., etal put up a great argument this afternoon. They were forceful in speech holding The House of Rep.'s feet to the fire. I think all the Politico's are hoping she dies so that they won't have to deal with the mess. It is a Big Mess. The longer she lives The Bigger the Mess will become. The Hospice might just try to kill her off sooner congress might reward that kind of patronage.

Randal T., etal are going to Washington to force them to honor their court order (to protect her as a witness to violations of her civil rights) that they all voted on and approved. She is to appear tomorrow.

What do you think will they do? I think they will extend the dead line in hopes that she dies?

You're not a terrible Christian. But I do understand the feeling. I haven't even gone down there. I ask for forgiveness before food and drink. I'd give anything that the food or water I put into my mouth could be given to her.

Dear EC, you've been through so much during these last few days. Your being arrested doesn't help Terri and takes you away from your family ... you've been her constant encourager and mighty prayer warrior. Not everyone is called to the front lines, but each task given to us is equally important. Weeping with you, dear heart ... our hearts are broken ...

Sadly I have a feeling that MS and felos will ensure that she is not alive for the hearing.

I can't help but be reminded of this phrase today, "half measures avail us nothing", that seems to be what was done by those in power who could have stopped this abomination.

Do not kick yourself. If the Holy Spirit wanted you do to that, you would have found the urge really strong.

God wants us to let God be God, to choose God's law over the law of man, but at the same time we are told to submit to authorities.

If God has chosen to glorify Terri by being a martyr to the cause of life, then perhaps he didn't want lots of people down there at the hospice, doing this.

Perhaps, God in his mercy, was also having mercy on the other families of dying people who have been dealing with this as well, by only letting the protest get so large and not larger. I don't know.

But do not feel you have let God and Terri down. You have worked hard, cared a lot, and did what you could do.

O Lord,
Your daughter Terri seems to be drawing near the end of the road you have chosen for her. Ease her way and hold her hand each step of the way.

Have mercy and send comfort, peace and understanding to those who love her, and the sure knowledge of what you want them to do next.

Keep those of us who love you always in the palm of your hand,

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Those people getting arrested so far has not succeeded in bringing water to Terri so adding you to the list will not have changed anything except make the county richer with your bail.

We are terrible Christians when we fail to see the injustices that are being done because of our own selfish needs and misdeeds. This is something that those that profess the love of Christ, must ask forgiveness for.

Sure, why not? Isn't that the game plan? Hearings are delayed all the time. Or they can take a long coffee break so it doesn't start on time. Or better yet, up that morphine drip so it'll all be over with before tomorrow morning and then no worries.

Come on, dear people. Listen to yourselves. Are you saying that the only people who truly meant what they said about supporting Terri are those who got arrested for trying to give her water?

If that's the case, we are pointing fingers at ourselves. I for one have not been there, and neither have many of you.

There is more than one way to bring Terri a cup of water; in fact, praying for her faithfully will do far more good for her than those who attempted to take her a cup of water, knowing for a fact they wouldn't get even as far as the door of the hospice. I think they are doing the right thing, don't misunderstand me, and I fully support them. But my point is that there are many ways to support Terri and her family and this pointing fingers at those who have worked to save Terri in various ways greatly distress me.

It's my understanding that there's been one motion before the Judge from Hell since 2003, and that is the motion to remove the Husband from Hell as Guardian. It hasn't yet been heard.
