Can anything be done about him, in the legal sense? I live in S. Fla, on the east coast (Broward Co.) and don't know much about Pinellas Co. I'm wondering if all of them in the county government there are as corrupt as he is???? I can't believe the amt. of stuff I'm reading about him, and have heard in the past! I signed the petition to get him impeached, and the count was over 15,000 a couple of days ago. It has to be more now, but I'm wondering if it will actually have any impact on him.

Greer called the Bush bluff and won...the Bush brothers showed what their spine is made off...and the natiopn is worse off than if they had done nothing.

Obviously these people blew it. They need to prepare to seize the body for a thorough autopsy, and have a backup plan in the event Greer tries to obstruct them. Judge Greer may triumph for now, but once Terri is dead, he has no further constitutional authority to deny the State of Florida the right of inquiry into the circumstances preceding his order to terminate her life. After a thorough autopsy, the body can then be turned over to Michael Schiavo for cremation, as per her "wishes."

"When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. I have seen the wicked
in
great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. Yet he passed
away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be
found.
Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man
is
peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of
the
wicked shall be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous is of the
Lord:
he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the Lord shall help
them...he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because
they
trust in him" (Psalm 37:23-28, 33-40).

I have lost a lot of respect for George and Jeb Bush
I actually voted for W in 04 after passing on Dole and W earlier. There is more they could do, but let's not let starvation of someone perhaps spoil chances for SS success or whatever.

Greer's been thrown out of his church. Does that mean he couldn't even have his funeral there??

"...And the judge said "remove it" in a make-believe trial
And slapped lawyer Felos on the back with a smile
Said' supper's waitin' at home and I gotta get to it"

That's the night a woman’s rights went out in Florida
That's the night that they starved an innocent woman.

Jeb needs to go in with the national guard. And a tank or two. Standing on the legislation that the legislature wrote. The court can't do squat to him, he has to answer only to the legislature, which is likely to have more mercy on him than these kangaroos have.

...In republican government, the legislative authority necessarily predominates...(snip)

- James Madison, Federalist Paper 51

=====================

“...Particular misconstructions and contraventions of the will of the legislature may now and then happen; but they can never be so extensive as to amount to an inconvenience, or in any sensible degree to affect the order of the political system. This may be inferred with certainty, from the general nature of the judicial power, from the objects to which it relates, from the manner in which it is exercised, from its comparative weakness, and from its total incapacity to support its usurpations by force...”

- Alexander Hamilton

Federalist Paper 81: The Judiciary Continued, and the Distribution of the Judicial Authority

======================

The Federalist No. 51

The Structure of the Government Must Furnish the Proper Checks and Balances Between the Different Departments

...If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions...(snip)

In a single republic, all the power surrendered by the people is submitted to the administration of a single government; and the usurpations are guarded against by a division of the government into distinct and separate departments. In the compound republic of America, the power surrendered by the people is first divided between two distinct governments, and then the portion allotted to each subdivided among distinct and separate departments. Hence a double security arises to the rights of the people. The different governments will control each other, at the same time that each will be controlled by itself...(snip)

...In republican government, the legislative authority necessarily predominates...(snip)

Justice is the end of government. It is the end of civil society. It ever has been and ever will be pursued until it be obtained, or until liberty be lost in the pursuit. In a society under the forms of which the stronger faction can readily unite and oppress the weaker, anarchy may as truly be said to reign as in a state of nature, where the weaker individual is not secured against the violence of the stronger...(snip)

---- James Madison

The MORON can't use the words "effected" and "affected" correctly.

See first line, first paragraph.

I heard Gov. Bush respond to a reporter's question, do you have the authority to act? He stated that such a question is better answered by an expert. Thus he asked a state official to answer the question.

I believe that that official and her answer were the same as quoted in this article. I know that the official answered, yes the governor has the authority.

To wit, “The law allows the department to exercise both emergency protective services -- intervention -- and emergency removal. Either one or both”, DCF attorney Jennifer Lima-Smith told Greer.

The article goes on, "DCF is empowered by Chapter 415 of Florida Statutes to enact emergency protective services intervention . . ."

The issue is NOT following the law the issue is WHAT IS THE LAW vis-s-vis checks and balances and responsibilities of the executive branch..

Let's have the "constitutional crisis" already. Let's get it over with.

Too late to save Terri Schiavo's life but in time to prevent her husband, et al. from destroying the evidence; i.e., an immediate cremation.

Stop with the BS that some judge just one notch above small claims court is the law.

Greer is such a ( @$#%^&%$#$% I will get banned). WE the people are more powerful than he is and the executive branch is more powerful than the judicial.

Why? Answer this- who has the power of pardon for things which have occurred in the judicial? (The executive branch.)

Greer needs to be arrested and spend the rest of his days in prison.

the Court ruled that the executive and judicial branches of government are separate but equal and that the executive branch is not superior in the area of judicial matters.

Okay, maybe I'm mentally retarded, but what is controversial about that?

I have a question.

Judge Greer and Mr. Felos altered the law in Florida to apply to one specific case. Isn't this the same thing Jeb Bush did that Judge Greer now claims was unconstitutional?
