Shays: DeLay Should Quit As House Leader

"Tom's conduct is hurting the Republican Party, is hurting this Republican majority and it is hurting any Republican who is up for re-election," Rep. Chris Shays, R-Conn., told The Associated Press in an interview, calling for DeLay to step down as majority leader.

DeLay "becomes the poster child for a lot of the things the Democrats think are wrong about Republican leadership. As long as he's there, he's going to become a pretty good target," Dodd said on ABC.

Isn't it just sweet the way Shays and Dodd worry about the future of the Republican party? (/sarcasm)

Bill Christal said it well on FoxNews earlier, that the Dems want DeLay out, because he is the most effective conservative leader in Congress.

As long as ANY GOP member who doesn't do what the left wants is there they'll attack him.

When are we simply going to return fire.

Damn straight. DeLay is a good man and Shays should shut his mouth.

The Dems can scream and whine, but can do absolutely NOTHING about DeLay, if the Republicans stick together, which they rarely do. In this respect we should learn from the Dems, who always just brazen things out, and close ranks and support the Dem being accused. The Republicans want to throw any Republican off the train immediately to accomodate the Democrats. It boggles one's mind./

This is how the Republicans obliged the Dems and got rid of Gingrich and Lott.

...a lot of the things the Democrats think are wrong about Republican leadership...

Can any one spot the key word in this phrase? Yes! It's "think"! Liberals hate anything and everything that doesn't hold the same beliefs that they do. All they need to know to judge you, your friends, ancestors and acquiantences is that you are Republican. Thinking has been out of style at the DNC for years. Anger and hate is all the rage these days.

Exactly. The Dems know that "the best defense is an offense". The Republicans are always in the defense mode. It's time they change that.

DeLay "becomes the poster child for a lot of the things the Democrats think are wrong about Republican leadership..."

Ooooh! The Democrats think DeLay is wrong! Time to be really, REALLY scared!

'Eff 'em. If they hate DeLay, he must be doing something right.

Shays is a republican.

I am writing and calling DeLay to hang in there.
Interesting that not a big deal was made of Daschle's wife being an airline lobbyist, working on matters her husband would have to vote.
Reed's family also were given "percs" some of these people need to be brought to the attention of folks to.

It's hilarious to hear the liberals get all sanctimonious about "ethics". Where was their concern about ethics during Bill Clinton's 8 year debauch.

Exactly. The Libs also targeted Reagan, Bush and the Pope..... Being a "target" of the Liberals usually does not mean you are wrong. On the contrary, it usually means you are a man of principle and are standing up for something you believe in. Shays should try it for a change.

There were a lott of people right here on this forum looking for Lott's ouster. They saw an opportunity to go for the throat and they went for it. Little did they know we'd get fristed by his twin brother separated at birth.

Delay is the poster man of how real Congress"men" should act.

ANDRE LENOGE: "Where is Congress? Where are the Senators?
Nobody knows this Buchenwald Anniversary. Their chambers are empty. No one is there.
There has only been only one case like this in all of American history.
That was Roanoke Island [North Carolina] in 1587 when everyone disappeared. Every man, woman and child.
Hope is dimming for the missing residents of the US Congress
but .... there is word carved on the wall of the Senate Chamber, "Croaton".
No one knows what it means. Maybe its a place favored for pork? No one knows.
But I do know one thing. Congress will ALL need to be replaced in the next election."

Pinellas county, Florida murderer uncertified Judgenfuhrer Greer:
"It is April 8th. The US Congress is emasculated
and we have proven that the US Congress are pussies,
who write subpoenas unworthy of a bucket of warm Pinellas spit.
18 USC Section 1505 - I urinate on it. Title 2 of the US code - I deficate on it.
Florida Statute 765.309 [prevents mercy killing and assisted suicide] - void in my Court.
Florida Statute 744.3215 [requires that incapacitated people cannot be deprived of food and water]] - void in my Court.
Florida Statute 765.404 [which says that clear and convincing evidence of the ward's intent for medical treatment must be established] ] - void in my Court."
