Understanding and answering the "religious far right" that propelled President Bush's re-election is key to preventing a "theocracy" from governing the nation, speakers argued at a weekend conference.

The clueless trying to understand is like questioning if there's a rock to big for God to lift!

One of the central problems facing the left is in creating its own hysteria through its habitual manipulation and distortion of facts. It both inflates an issue that it defines as a dire problem and then inflates its own sense of importance in rectifying the alleged problem. Like its elder brother, communism, it deals largely in fictions.

That there are tens of millions of concerned conservative voters in the United States is a fact. That these people (and I include myself among them) are creating some form of "theocracy" is a delusion. There are substantial issues of agreement among us, but also some areas of strong disagreement especially related to our various religious interpretations. The underlying feature is that we are all orthodox--in one form or another--Judeo-Christians. Given the strong and growing support of orthodox Jews, I include them in our reputed nascent theocracy. As such, we hold strong moral values in common and oppose a mindless, relativistic interpretation of man and our relationship to the Lord.

The left, on the other hand, has a cheap version of a tried and failed socialist doctrine that where applied leads actually to its opposite--repression and death. It can garner no strong support from people with religious values, because it lacks both positive values and religion.
Though I suppose that repressive government control and tepid adherence to scripture could be loosely called values.

The open society of the left leads ultimately into the old Kremlin. The conservative, free society leads to personal responsibility, stronger families, and voluntary associations of people for the common good. If the latter is theocracy, then I'm all for it.

Oh no! Its that dreaded God Talk again! If our Lefty friends hear the G-word one more time, its a sign the public square hasn't been purged of those wanna-be theocrats yet.

Secular humanists are narrow minded and intolerant.

They accept themselves, Unitarians, and any group that hates Christians. Beyond that little world, they fear what they don't understand. And that fear breeds prejudice and hatred. It's a group to be pitied and helped.

Was this meeting held at an ACLU convention?

And once again I say - there can be no Christian theocracy until The Christ reigns on earth. It's a silly discussion these Leftists like to have, without any understanding. Besides, who told them to fear the coming wrath, anyway?

I have been screaming about this for a while now. Somewhere in the belly of the beast known as the DNC they held a meeting of the minds (as if) and came up with an old idea. Start pinning the Republican Party to the religious right. They believe strongly that one of the major reasons they lost in 2000, 2002, and 2004 is that they never tried to make the case that the Republican party is run by religious zealots. Hence the newest trend in the MSM of using the word "evangelicals" all over the place. Its the new "gravitas".

To the left the word "evangelicals" conjures up images of Bible thumping charlatans. They think the word has the same effect on the masses.

Note the huge deal the MSM made out of Delay video being played at Church's last Sunday.

Its only just begun.

Left Aims to Smite 'Theocracy' Movement

The Left is daring to tread into GONPO's territory.

This is interesting.

Main Entry: the·oc·ra·cy
Pronunciation: thE-'ä-kr&-sE
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural -cies
Etymology: Greek theokratia, from the- + -kratia -cracy
1 : government of a state by immediate divine guidance or by officials who are regarded as divinely guided
2 : a state governed by a theocracy

What are they afraid of. They don't believe in God. How can the leader of our country be divinly inspired?

"Theocracy" is the straw man that the left brings up whenever Christians start stating their opinion in the public square. Most leftists don't know what a theocracy even is, much less who is actually advocating one.

The psychotic anti-American left just can't seem to grasp that it is God-fearing patriots who are fighting and winning the war on terror, while treacherous ACLU scum are doing all they can to protect terrorists from the government.

The stupid left just can't shake its Marxist "religion is the opiate of the masses" dementia.

They want the war on terror to be a war on all religious people. They had better start to realize that if they keep calling for a holy war with Christianity in America, then that's exactly what they are going to get!

Secular humanists and leftist activists convened here over the weekend to strategize how to counter what they contend is a growing political threat from Christian conservatives.

They sure are a paranoid bunch of folks, aren't they?

"And I saw a beast rising out of the sea..." Revelation 13:1

The "sea" is interpreted as the realm of politics. The beast is the AntiChrist.

"The beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words..." Revelation 13:5

The people working against the "Christian" threat are the children of the beast.
