Revenge of the Sith--I've seen it!

Well, you can all relax. While ROTS isn't a masterpiece, it's pretty darn good.

I managed to slip into a preview showing earlier today and had a thoroughly good time. Yes, it's pretty grim in places. Yet if anything, I'd say it wasn't grim enough.

The opening battle will have your jaw hitting the floor. Wall-to-wall butt-kicking on a cosmic scale. And the betrayal of the Jedi...well, it really, really hurts. Even when you know it's coming, it hurts.

Oh, yes. This one's a keeper.

Since 17 cents of every ticket dollar ends up at the DNC, the question becomes: is it worth paying that price (not to mention several irreplaceable lifetime hours) to see it?

Here is my solution for you: go see it at a matinee(reducing the share to the DNC.) Ten send 5 bucks to the RNC.

That way, we stay ahead, and donations to the Rats from your movie ticket arre pointless.

Or, don't go see it, wait for the DVD, rent it and have a party where about 20 people see it.

I think I read on IMDB that III was all done in studio.

LOVE the screenname, BTW.

Yep, I'm probably going to see this one. Hopefully it'll be a worthy cap to the series.

"LOVE the screenname, BTW."

With a screenname like Marajade where else would I post but to a SW thread. Thanks.

Great, but that's not the most important thing. In that three seconds PLEASE say that Jar-Jar dies an agonizing and gruesome death. Oh, please let it be true.

I'd pay to see Jar-Jar and Wesley Crusher have a duel to the death.

My dream movie: "Alien & Predator Versus Wesley Crusher & Jar-Jar Binks"

Arc...

Can I take the kids to see it? (They are 9 and 8.)

Regards,

PS: They saw both Spiderman movies with no problem. Is ROTS any more worrisome than that?

As I said, "Credibility check: weren't you a big McCain fan?"

It affects my view of the worth of your judgment.

So, weren't you? Or am I mis-remembering? Or were you, and did you at some point come to your senses?

Dan

I never saw the Spiderman movies. I think your kids could probably handle this movie, but it does have some rough spots.

I'm sure I've said good things about John McCain. What of it? Who the heck cares? This is about Star Wars.

The rousing Yoda number alone is worth the price of admission.

Thanks Arc.

One more thing: I know that most parents' objections seem to stem from the deaths of the Jedi -- especially the young Jedi trainee kids. Is this scene on camera, or is it merely implied?

Regards,

My favorite part is where Yoda gets all persnickety on them.

Did he go "Yodomatic" on them?

"Actually, Jar Jar haters should check out the 'new' ending to Return of the Jedi - Jar Jar's still around after all those years, apparently."

Huh?
