Ft. Stewart, GA '95-2000 24thID (Mech). Reflagged to 3rdID (Mech) "Rock of the Marne!" deployed to Kuwait in Feb. 1998 when Saddam kicked out the weapons inspectors. MOS? 11M of course! (Bradley Fighting Vehicle Infantryman). I was the gunner on my Platoon Leader's Bradley.

Oh, and earned the coveted Expert Infantry Badge as well. Take that, Peaceniks! Does this count?

You got that right. I would have been proud to have served with him.

Almost did, sort of. I was weighing an offer to join the JAG Corps in my senior year, but the oil gig came along.

Prayers for TexasCowboy.

I had the "pleasure" of serving on ff-1097.

The Knox class frigate was a POS ;)

I swear we had a WWII vintage VHF receiver and transmitter.

My FR name (Doc-Joe), is from my Navy days. I was an HM (8404/8482). I was medically retired in 2003, following a significant injury. Growing up an Army brat (father is a retired Command Sergeant Major), I've spent most of my life in and around the military. Of the five children in my family, all of us have served or are currently serving. My sister, the oldest, was in the Army. My oldest brother was an Airborne Ranger. My younger brother is ex-Navy, and ex-Army Reserves. The youngest brother is currently serving overseas in the Air Force. Is that "chicken hawk" enough?

hey FRiend. Thanks for being here - here and now!

Just to tell you though...some of us hooked up many years ago. Different time, different place. And maybe some of us - are still friends.
