Free Republic Military?
5/16/05 | Guard Dog

I just read a post on conservative blog that stated few freepers were veterans (implication was that we were chicken hawks). Having conversed with many of you and met a few, I do not believe that is the case. But it did get me wondering, who among us is active or prior service veterans? Awright you freeper vets SOUND OFF!

I guess I wasn't ready. If I was going to stay single, I'd join back but I don't see being able to support lots of kids on military pay.

The Knox class frigate was a POS ;)

I think the only worse ship the Navy had was the Bronstein Class.

But 1052's did have one of the ballsiest jobs in the Navy, standing on top of the helo hanger and working the BPMDMS director.

A big thanks to everyone who sounded off. To the families, your sacrifice and support are what keeps your loved ones going. They could not do it without you. To all of my brothers and sisters in arms who posted here, those who know what it's like to run in the rain, stand a watch in the cold, man the bridge during a storm, or know the sound a bullet makes when it flies through the air, you are the finest example of the people who may claim the title American. I am honored to to be in your company. Semper Fi!
