I would be fatigued too going so many years without Clinton if I held his views.

He's probably upset because Slick chose Monica over him.

Some of that night stuff is total crackpot (tinfoilers can be happy that aluminum foil might still be made in America - haven't checked lately).

That's what makes it fun! B-) Seriously, you just got to know what is the truth, what to put in the "things that make you go 'hmmmmm' file" and what to toss out completely. I admit I get into the paranormal and UFO stuff from time to time, again I trace it back to my grandmother I mentioned before, as a kid, I used to read all her books on things like that as well as watching "In Search Of."

Thanks for the links. Some of that stuff is dead on if you can sift out the weird stuff.

Come back to Earth, this interview and guest is a keeper. He is dead on.

True, China doesn't have pollution laws, and what a beautiful place it is to live. Occassionally you actually get to see the gray-blue sky:

And you have yet to demonstrate how 30+ years of trade with China has liberalized their society or moved them one step towards freedom. We'll wait for your proof.

The outrageously large graphics you posted, while impressive, do not address the comments in my post - in fact all they did was bog down my (and I'm sure others') dial-up connection.

You know, I bought a lot of starwars action figures in the mid 80s and all were made in the USA and yet they were under $7 each! How did we ever get by before China?

Yes,I have seen seniors working at Wal-Mart and teenagers. Working mothers, too, who need flexible schedules. Most of the people that I have met at Wal-Mart seem to be happy in their jobs. Some do not seem happy, but you find that everywhere.

I like Wal-Mart. I do buy items made in China, just as I hope people in other countries buy items made in the U.S.A.

We have to get this Free Trade thing going in ALL countries. The best way for us not to have an illegal immigration problem is for Central and South American countries to have Free Trade with the United States and all other Democratic countries. Then their economies will be strong, their countries will be strong democracies, and they will have no reason to want to illegally immigrate here.

Exactly. At least Wal-Mart has most of its business in the United States, which is more than can be said for Mrs. Heinz-Kerry.

We should simply have free trade with them and all the ills will be solved.

That's an excellent point! If lower prices to consumers and free trade are the two highest priorities in our existence, why should we care about any other issue? Freedom, democracy, ethnic cleansing of whatever variety must be subordinated to the two master passions - low prices and free trade.

Free traitors - still supporting slavery in the 21st century!

I admit I get into the paranormal and UFO stuff from time to time,

Like Ed Dames? I won't hold that against you :-). Most of it is things that make you go crazy in the night to me.

And those MK ultra people. This makes me laugh at myself so I'll share it with you. A couple weeks ago there was this weirdest revolving noise that woke me up. It sounded like a car going through the neighborhood. I had two thoughts, being rather foggy, call 911 and ask what the heck was going on (nixed that idea) or maybe the nutsos were right and somebody was out there trying to program me. Heck with it. Didn't bother to get up and even look outside. Same thing happened and woke up again. Same thoughts. Went back to sleep. Next morning I thought I must really be losing it, wish I could find out what the heck is was. It wasn't until my talk show came on at 3:00 that my dilemma was solved. The host was griping about being waked up twice in the night by the storm sirens. They changed them, and I didn't know it. Never heard such a sound in my life.

Come back to Earth, this interview and guest is a keeper. He is dead on.

Checked Amazon.com for the Mania one. $16.47. Will wait until Fuhrman's book comes out and the new one by that Englishman on Islam and order all three at once. I'll get free shipping that way :-). I can be just as cost-conscious as the next guy. Now am I cheating UPS or making their life easier by causing them to make one trip to my house rather than three? Maybe it's the USPS with amazon. If so, it's probably easier on them to do one at a time. Makes their bag lighter and they come every work day anyway.

First, these were the smaller graphics, the larger were well over a meg each. Second, minus most of those environmental laws on industry output, that's what we get to look forward to over America. They majority of those laws got placed there because the citizens got tired of breathing smog. Unlike China, where the will of the citizen-slave doesn't really matter: why they've had sooooo many free elections. Right?

And now our workers are being turned into slaves selling us the stuff

As I said before,I work at WALMART and I feel that I am fairly treated and that I get adequate compensation for the work I do!

I am by no means a slave ,like you believe employees of WALMART to be!

I have coworkers that transfered to WALMART from other retailers, like K-Mart and Target, that say how much better the work conditions at WALMART are!Now mind you it may depend on the location, since not all Store managers are equal!

I also told you that I am the sole supporter of my family and that we live just fine on my income and that I don't use any government programs ,even though I qualify for them! BTW,we qualified for the same programs, when my husband was in the military and never took advantage of it then either!

We have always managed on our own and don't believe in using government handouts!

BTW,WALMART employees are TAXPAYERS,too,so if I chose to use one or more of the programs I qualify for, I wouldn't feel guilty, since I contributed in taxes to the programs!

That website is a bunch of Bologna if you ask me and is definitely funded by the UNIONS!

How is it,that you don't ask people that work for WALMART how they feel or believe them when they say good things about their employment with WALMART?

BTW,in every workplace you'll find people that say negative things about their employer!

If I felt I was treated unfairly, I certainly would look for a different job,but I am happy working for WALMART,so I don't have to!

I started out as a cashier 6 1/2 years ago and I am now a department manager and have been offered to enter the Assistant manager program, but I feel that I am not ready yet and I still like the position I hold now!I have moved up in the company several times with pay increase!

What I am trying to say by this, is if you apply yourself in your workplace you move up and that goes for any company you work for and not just WALMART!

So stop feeling sorry for me and my coworkers!

Amen to that.

My Wal-Mart is clean and the staff and customers are nice people. We have a very nice community (rural central Virginia) and most of us love Wal-Mart. The one in Lynchburg is not as clean as ours, so the folks in Lynchburg come to Bedford a lot. ;)

Pollution is only one small part of the over regulation of industry by enviro-whackos through governemnt. And there are also all kinds of other over regulation that has nothing to do with the enviro-whackos. But it is nice to see that you can see that it is not Walmart that is causing industry to seeking cheaper means of production, even though you will not admit it publicly.

However, that still does not address the rest of my comments - you seem to wish to make Walmart the ONLY cause of your perceived problems, when in fact Walmart is probably one of the smallest causes of the problem.

This is a much more complex problem than all the Walmart bashers are willing to admit. You brought up the dollar store chains and blame Walmart for the phenomena of their success - yet I was shopping in those type stores LONG before I ever even heard of Walmart - and they were selling "made in China" stuff long before Walmart was. They were paying their employees crapola wages back then and generally continue to pay their employees less than Walmart.

I get such a kick out of you folks that insist Walmart is evil incarnate forcing all the manufacturers in the US to outsurce labor to other countries.

Some Polluted Outlets in China Lack Plant or Animal Life

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Epoch Times

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Feb 05, 2004

A young migrant worker shovels heavily polluted mud and water from an almost dried up river bed. AFP PHOTO.

Inshore sea areas near the east coast of China are severely polluted, according to the newly released 2003 China Ocean Environment Quality Report. The worst pollution was found in the outlets of the Yalu River, Liaodong Bay, Bohai Bay, Yangtze River, Hangzhou Bay and the Zhujiang River. According to the report, 27 percent of the water quality is substandard in the Bohai sea with inorganic nitrogen, active phosphate and lead, as the main pollutants.

Dalian Bay, Jinzhou Bay and the Zhujiang River outlet are plagued with severe sediment pollution. The clams from some sea areas contain excessive amounts of lead, cadmium, arsenic, DDT and coliform bacteria.

The National Ocean Bureau closely monitors 20 river outlets, which carry an average of 880 million tons of polluted water into the ocean with approximately 1.28 million tons of pollutants. The dangerously polluted waters in these outlets even lack plant and animal life.

Walmart is not the only cause, but as the consumer of 10% of Chinese exports, it's the biggest single one.
