Clinton breaks deal with prosecutor - Now says charges against him as president were false
WORLD NET DAILY.COM ^ | JUNE 1, 2005 | EDITOR

President Bill Clinton told NBC's Brian Williams tonight charges brought against him by the House of Representatives were false, contradicting a plea bargain deal he made with Independent Counsel Robert Ray that he admit he gave false testimony under oath to a federal grand jury.

In a blistering attack on Ray's predecessor, Kenneth Starr, Clinton accused the independent counsel of persecuting innocent people, indicting them because they wouldn't lie and assaulting the Constitution.

"I was acquitted," he told Williams. "And ... the charges that the House sent to the Senate were false. So I did a bad thing. I made a bad personal mistake. I paid a big price for it. But I was acquitted because the charges were false."

There was no follow-up by Williams.

The articles of impeachment passed by the House in 1998 included the accusation that he lied under oath. Yet, Clinton admitted Jan. 19, 2001, as part of his deal with Ray, he had lied under oath while testifying about his relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

"I tried to walk a fine line between acting lawfully and testifying falsely," he said in a written statement. "But I now recognize that I did not fully accomplish that goal and that certain of my responses to questions about Ms. Lewinsky were false.

"Liar, liar, pants on fire."

It was the pants on fire part that got him impeached, we already knew he was a liar.

I actually agree that liberal Democrats are pretty similar to Democratic Socialists -- liberals have slightly more respect for the market. But a socialist is different. A socialist doesn't believe in private property, thinks workplaces should be "democratized" (meaning unions run everything), and depending on the branch of socialism, seems to think bureaucracy and democracy are synonyms.

Liberal Democrat: John Kerry, Barbara Boxer, Dick Durbin. Democratic Socialist: Paul Wellstone, Bernie Sanders, Dennis Kucinich. Socialist: George Bernard Shaw, Karl Marx, Eugene Debs. I don't like any of them, but there's a difference.

If he broke the deal with the prosecutor...can he now be prosecuted?

Maybe. But they won't and he knows it and you and I know it. He's probably even been told personally through third parties.

Is this a paralell to McCarthy's refrence to Stuart Symington as an "Alledged Man"?

Spot on. You had Hillary's infantile rant yesterday and now this. My guess is that Hill's internals are a lot worse than what was announced a few days ago. Perhaps Bills stick sticks to Hillary.

I loathe some if not all self serving politicians.

We suspect Mr. Clinton's self-justifying will only get worse as time passes. Having violated all the normal rules as President, he will no doubt violate all of the rules for ex-Presidents. This includes the convention not to criticize his successor.

Thanks for posting that link. It makes me angry every time I see or hear PRESIDENT Bush snuggling up with this snake.

"I did a bad thing...but... the charges were false."
"Fake but accurate".
Things people afflicted with 'liberalysis' would say.

"I was acquitted," he told Williams. "And ... the charges that the House sent to the Senate were false. So I did a bad thing. I made a bad personal mistake. I paid a big price for it. But I was acquitted because the charges were false."

Interesting....which Clinton "alter" answered which answer?

-Slick Willy " I was acquited"

-Clintler "The Charges sent to the Senate were false"

-Little Willy " So I did a bad thing"

-His Heinous "I made a bad personal mistake"

-Slick Willy "I paid a big price for it"

-Bill Clinton "But I was aquitted because the charges were false"

How many others are in there......whoa..

imo

So it is written, so must it be done.
