Paying off a gambling debt really isn't so far fetched. Without a body or any DNA anywhere I think the assumption should be that she is alive some place. In which case, then why would someone take her? To pay off a debt could be a possibility. jmo

Joran was out of control, for sure.

I had also speculated about drug or gambling debts. It's a possibility.

FOX Big Story is repeating now, for those of you who may have missed it earlier.

Wonder who the people are from Houston? That's a very generous offer and I hope the Holloways and Twittys accept.

I see that the following are indicated to have made the offer: http://www.texasequusearch.org/

Well that is my point too...where's the body? It seems that one of these ass****s would have talked...and they haven't.

Other possibilities? Kidnapped.

Then again...this might be bigger than we all think.

Who was it that suggested that maybe being in prison will make him talk? I think that might work, BUT his dad might have told him to not talk, no matter what. Guess it depends on how much the cockroaches bother him in his sleep.

I know this is silly, but I think it's hilarious- anchorpeople, in all seriousness, pronounce Joran's name "urine". I just can't help but snicker..

Texas Equusearch is a wonderful group. I know a couple of the searchers personally. They could use them to search the rugged side of the island.

Kidnappers usually ask for a ransome. I think Natalee's mom was asked about any ransome notes and she said no. Someone else mentioned a possible prisoner exchange, but seems like we would have heard something by now.

Frustrating.

Ruben Trapenberg / Aruba official spokesperson on Fox rerun now. Was he the obnoxious one who was on earlier tonight?

" Who was it that suggested that maybe being in prison will make him talk? ""

Didn't we hear somewhere that there were only 8 jail cells? If so, they might be running out of room at the jail and therefore moving those they feel will continue to be detained to the prison. ????

Also, along the theme of limited room at the jail - I'm wondering if there may even be more arrests here soon.

Only, remember John Couey didn't ask for ransome when he had Jessica for several days. He did unspeakable things to her. Unfortunately lots of kidnappers just are sick, and money is not the motivation.

LOL! Can you imagine what nickname they would give him at that Florida college he planned to attend?

I guess kidnapping is not the right word - taken by force somewhere - abducted. These things have been happening for thousands of years...why should we exclude its possibility now?

Not sure what jail cell is being mentioned but Aruba has one of the largest prisons I have ever seen! Absolutely vast fortress like building on a hill off the main road that goes around the island.

That is why I laugh when I hear about the low crime rate...that's bogus. That prison is full - so who's in there?

their obligatory 10-day waiting period

I can very easily imagine Holloway being hidden aboard, if they're as serious about finding her as they say they are, you'd think they'd check it out, and every other boat connected in any way to the primary characters involved.. before too long.

This has probably already been covered, I'm sure, but I'd like to point out how the Aruban police used a helicopter with infrared capabilities 2 or 3 days ago. At first, I thought that was very strange to look for a dead body (i.e., higher than room temp) after over 2 weeks. Then it struck me that this HAD to mean they were looking for a live body. .... Like a live body being hidden in a basement somewhere.

I'm not a good source of nicknames (I'm not funny), but with a name like Urine van der Sloot, I imagine those who are will have an easy time of it...

Can that technology see through several stories into a basement? Wow. Since we haven't heard "we've found her!" I'm guessing they were very unsuccessful.

(Wonder how many grow lamps they found)
