...Rudy Croes has received numerous threats ever since he fulfilled the function of Minister Justice in 2001 with his very aggressive fight against drug trafficking and illegals...

Interesting. That brings up the possibility that the drug interests might have snatched a random tourist off the beaches of Aruba in order to make Croes' job very difficult, put a ding in Aruba tourism, and that would explain those oblique comments that Rep Bachus made at the get-go in this case.

"Where's our FBI ...?"

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,160654,00.html

"Separately Friday, a source familiar with the investigation told FOX the FBI only has three agents in Aruba working on the case, down from seven. The source, who requested anonymity, said the team has been reduced because there is not much to investigate now that arrests have been made."

{{{Not much to investigate now that arrests have been made}}}

Does that unattributed statement make sense? Not to me.

If an FBI source really said this, it almost sounds like irony, sarcasm, etc. Like they are washing their hands of it because they have not been allowed to do their jobs and somebody else has all the say.

Funny, too, that some arrestees are now being released. Suppose they are all released, eventually. What a crackpot statement this will appear to be THEN!

Since the FBI is leaving and the Arubian authorities appear to be going into hibernation, Fox needs to turn Greta lose on the case again. She stirs the American public up with her strong investigative reporting. We simply cannot allow the authorities to sweep this case under the carpet.

I heard Geraldo tell Mark Fuhrman during his interview last night that he should be down there to help with the investigation.

He got a bad rap during the OJ trial (race card) but he's one heck of a detective!!

Geraldo says the family thinks the final three will be released too. This is so ridiculous. Aruba is setting this up to say look we arrested everyone, no body found, no confessions......sorry we can't do anything!!

Unless EquuSearch finds her, there is no case.

As Geraldo says you can't convict them of lying.

Nita, this whole investigaion by the Aruban authorities has been a facade since day one. Maybe the State Department should issue a travel warning to American(s) who are contemplating a trip to Aruba.

If justice cannot be obtained through the Aruban LE&Judicial system, then let it be obtained by terminating American tourist dollars filling their coffers(economy)

PVDS if he had nothing to hide, would have vehemently denied any involvement and vocally defended his son's innocence. He may fool some people, but not me.

Nita, do you remember the wife of one of the security guards, who were intitially taken into custody then finally released? The lady voiced her husband's innocence both vocally and emotionally. I observed/listened to her voice inflections/facial expressions(kinesis). The wife(SG's) was telling the truth ,unlike PVDS and the other perps.

The first judge was right in having PVDS&Croes arrested they are involved. I have to presume the Dutch politicos and others from the hate America crowd had to send in one of their (boy's)(klown(s)the new (kangaroo judge)to help PVDS&Croes out.

This miscarriage of justice has only just begun. Natalee died and the dutch judicial system is a big fat treacherous lie. All perps will probably walk. Fortunatley the two Brothers'(security guards) both innocent, saved by Beth Holloway and the truth from (Aruban Injustice.)

Well, it's time to go back inside my survival bunker, NSNR, taking a SITREP break.

Just to play devil's advocate here:

There is no dead body; we don't know what statements were made and who made them; we don't know what evidence exists of a crime, if any; any and all "facts" we know are from FoxNews in their nonstop breathless and often premature reporting.

In light of all this, can we really say that we know who is guilty here and that we know for a fact there is an Aruban coverup?

Evidence is objective and proof is subjective. The FACT that JvdS and his friends told a bald faced lie is objective evidence they had something to do with Natalee being missing. That is a fact which cannot be overlooked. It might not be strong enough to convict under Arubian law, but I would have no trouble returning a GUILTY VERDICT for murder against Joran vdS based on his lie.

Great find, Nita! Now if we could just follow his logic of releasing PVDS....

I can see them lying about leaving Natalee on the beach without being involved in her disappearance. They may not have wanted everyone to know that they had just left her without making sure she got back to the hotel. Evidently, many of the kids stayed up all night around the hotel and beach area. Anyone could have been stalking these kids.

I don't think they have enough proof on the Dutch boy and unless some of the rumors turn out to be true, I would vote not guilty. There was even one kid that said he saw her back at the hotel. There are a lot of unanswered questions in my mind.

I noticed it too! She must have gone to the same plastic surgeon as the runaway bride.

Good deductive reasoning. Not getting daily press reports from the Aruban prosecutor has led my colleagues and myself to speculate A-Z based on the sound bytes we have heard and seen repeated; i.e.
"Natalee asked to see the sharks" = she was taken to the shark feeding area
"I can get up by myself" = she was drunk, angry and disoriented.
"we didn't get out of the car" = we drove around in circles
"something bad happened to Natalee"= we killed her

I promise to stop speculating until Natalee is found.

Lying is bad, but to concoct a lie to the police is another matter, especially when Natalee turned up missing. Additionally, they continued in the lie until confronted with proof they were lying. No, this was anything but a mere lie that she was left on the beach.

I don't think they have enough proof on the Dutch boy and unless some of the rumors turn out to be true, I would vote not guilty. There was even one kid that said he saw her back at the hotel. There are a lot of unanswered questions in my mind.

It's evidence which you feel is lacking. I disagree. I saw the pictures Joran had on his website, which he removed the day prior to his arrest. The kid was totally out of control, and in my opinion a sociopath, and that goes to the heart of the evidence, his character. Here is one of the few pictures you will find on the net, but it lacks the drink in his hand found in all the other pictures. You will have to scroll down to the picture. http://blogsfornatalee.com/

Living in Alabama, you think that you would see more of Natalee's case in the news. I'm sorry to say, but I think Natalee's original time slot has been shortened to about 30 seconds, to make room for the local "PROM '05" section of the news.

Sad, but true -- there isn't much news coming out of Aruba on this case, so the networks have lost interest.

Regarding your post #2792. I tend to agree with you. When questioned by the media several weeks ago, a female classmate was asked why someone didn't notice that Natalee was not in her room that night. She said that not everyone was in his/her room. She said, "In fact, I was out by the pool at 5:30 am."

Interesting the article did that to me too!

But when Jossy started bashing the Sloots, I thought "ah, they are serving them up to get this over with" and now Dad VS is loose and Jossy is "pissed". Interesting that, maybe everyone doesn't dance to Jossy's tune.

Just ran across this.

http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:wpu7mVfSmuEJ:www.nationalledger.com/scribe/archives/2005/06/missing_teen_in.shtml+rudy+croes+aruba&hl=en

(snip)

>>Saturday's news from the island brought a whirlwind of reports and retractions.

tNL reported that Ministry of Justice, Rudy Croes, had stated that the teenage girl from Alabama had been murdered and her body had been found. That report also stated that authorities were preparing to retrieve the body.

That report was later recanted by Croes and tNL carried that as well. [Related story] He stated late Saturday night that the government has no new information on Miss Holloway, and the official stance is now apparently that the Aruba government has no idea if the missing girl is alive or dead.

(snip)<<

Is that from this past Saturday, or two weeks ago ??
