The group, Abu Hafs al Masri Brigade (search), also claimed responsibility for the July 7 bombings. The statement's authenticity could not immediately be verified."
At least one eyewitness described the suspect as Asian, which is probably why the press said it that way. The danger I see is that a lot of people have it in their heads that terrorists have to look like Arabs, or middle easterners. That kind of tunnel vision is dangerous.

In Oslo, two/third of all rapes are commited by non-western immigrants. In Oslo that means primarily Pakistanis and Somalians, but also Kurds, Turks, assorted North Africans (Algeria etc.). The victims are 80 percent native Norwegian girls.
