Patriotic Art Show to Counter Attorney General's Exhibit

SacUnion.com Staff Writer Published: July 25, 2005

A painting titled "T'anks to Mr. Bush!"
by attorney-artist Stephen Pearcy, is displayed in the Department of Justice
cafeteria in Sacramento, Calif., Tuesday, July 19, 2005.

This coming Thursday the heated political debate surrounding an art exhibit co-sponsored by State Attorney General Bill Lockyer will intensify when conservative opponents of the Lockyer-sponsored exhibit put on their own, counter exhibit.

The Sacramento-based pro-military non-profit group, Move America Forward, has announced it is teaming up with Sacramento talk show host, Mark Williams of KFBK 1530, to put on an “I Love America” art exhibit and rally.

Organizers say they want to showcase a pro-American display of art because they feel the artwork hanging from the walls of the California Department of Justice is anti-American, anti-military, anti-Christian and anti-Semitic.

They even say the display undermines the men and women of the military serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“Any time someone seeks to dishonor our troops, we must step forward and make our voices heard that this nation will stay united, and never cease to support our troops and their brave fight against the threats of terrorism,” said Melanie Morgan, Chairman of Move America Forward.

Stephen Pearcy? We were just talking about him...

Didn't realize he was also a liberal-weenie attorney.

So, you can't put the 10 commandments on display there, but you can put this trash?

Why doesn't someone in that building put up a painting of Bill Lockyer in a compromising position ... with livestock.

Let's hope his lawyerin' is better than his paintin'--for his sake. His "work" fits into the art category known as "half-assed refrigerator art".

Wow. This is a great article. Makes everyone realize how bad it is that we have only had the liberal Sacramento Bee.

I hope the Sacramento Union really takes off and can be an alternative news source.

Hey Mr. Lockyear ... why don't you prove what a big, brave man you are and show a picture of a Koran being flushed?

Nope, you won't because you're a cowardly little man who can only express his point of view on people who will allow you to do it and not slice your fool head off.

Typical liberal girlie-man.

What a moron.

I just emailed him and pretended to be a huge Stephen Pearcy fan(the ex Ratt lead singer in post 2, not this guy)...told him how "hot" I thought he was...and how he was the man of my dreams...I love his music...

...yes I told him I was male...he's in San Francisco though so I better watch out.

LOL!

And here is Mr. Pearcy's picture

I can see a very striking resemblance to Zarqawi and Bin-Laden in that picture. It is the look of: America is evil, America is to blame for every bad or wrong thing in the world, and "Bush did it"!

I think in his eyes he has a menacing and unfriendly look. That meshes with what I've seen from him in person. He just doesn't seem like a very nice human being.

I went to his site and I have never before been filled with the homicidal rage I feel now. It would be like an orgasm to feel the structure of his arrogant, self-righteous face collapsing under my blows. Why is he allowed to continue his filthy sedition? Are there no more patriots left in California?

Lockyer and Newsom now a Twosome!

Lockyer-Newsom-Date

...does that constitute compromising?....not in CA. Why they could marry each other.
