Just reported on CNN Radio News at the top of the hour, the Marines were found stripped of all weapons and radio/comm gear. Speculation was that their positions was compromised by Iraqi forces that have insurgents as members...............

Prayers for the families of our fallen heroes.

It's time to clean this town up. I wish our military would surround it and then search inch by inch taking no prisoners throughout the process.

No this is a separate action. All of this part of the on going heavy fighting along the Euphrates River. The basic problem is lack of forces to garrison areas after guerrillas are forced out.

Consider the source of this report...(and I'm not criticizing you for posting it, my friend)but it seems unlikely this, if indeed true..would get out so soon..

Strategic hamlets, anyone?

Damn, damn, damn!

As Charles Colson said in another life, "Grab 'em by the balls, and their hearts and minds will follow".

Twenty brave men lost in two days. If I were the Commander, I'd call in a B-52 Arc-Light strike and level the entire area.

CNN will rush to the mics with every bit of bad news they can uncover. That is what makes this sound so ominous and therefore more believable............

Lord, Please Let the Genrals-on-Staff greenlight another "Operation AL-Fajr" to clean up Haditha as was Al-Fallujah.

Oh, And Please help us Root out the Infil-Traitors who betrayed Our Troops.

Amen.

Ya know, if the commander on the ground thought that was a good idea he'd do it.

But he doesn't. So he won't.

Know why? Because that area is a vast wasteland already.

But you wouldn't know that, you haven't been there or even studied the maps.

This news is enough to make one sick at heart, but proud and comforted by the knowledge that these Marines were doing their duty.

Ya know, if the commander on the ground thought that was a good idea he'd do it.

Well, ya know, the conduct of the war has not been too successful, so maybe it's time for a change?

But you wouldn't know that, you haven't been there or even studied the maps

What makes you so sure I haven't been there or studied the maps?

As an LCC (Lyin' Cheatin' Contractor) I guess you're an expert?
