It makes sense, it's regrettable, but practical in these circumstances. You need a pair of shoes, a change of clothes, something to eat, drink. Alright. But these jackasses stealing guns, looting hospitals, nursing homes, etc..shoot 'em.
There was a story in the DesMoines Register of a couple that went down there for a conference and when they found out it was time to evacuate, they went to get a cab to the airport and the cab drivers were charging $1,000 for the trip! They decided to stick it out! I think they finally got out of the city.
Thr guy on Fox just said there was like 7 murders and 20 rapes so far!!!!! H S !
That is a really stupid thing to say. You obviously relied on pure emotion to form that sentence. It took many many months of planning followed by many weeks of transport before we toppled any government. You must see the federal govt. as some kind of Superman. Which, to me, explains your objection to "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder".
They won't do it because that would be becoming part of the story instead of being impartial journalists.
Thay's why I call it Mainstream Mass Media Murder. They compile all these stores and report them through each other and yet can't do more then just report what they see.
You're a smartaleck that isn't very smart. Bush declared an emergency BEFORE the hurricane hit.
Bush declares emergency in Louisiana (Hurricane Katrina) AP ^ | Aug. 27, 2005 |
Bush Urges People to Flee Hurricane (August 28th)
He CANNOT supplant the elected officials of that area. As it is, he did an end run around their mayor and govenor by publicly urging people to leave while they did nothing. If you'd REALLY been lurking, you'd know what's going on.
Not only is order not being restored, it's going downhill fast.
It is incredible isn't it how inept our government is????
They can't do anything right, period. Someone please tell me why we pay such high taxes????
This was discussed days ago. He cannot do an end run around their elected officials. And it's "martial law".
Bush the Elder had Hurricane Andrew and Bush the Younger has Katrina. Both responses were horrid.
I dunno, they found the dead guy and gave him his moment. Time for the media to jump out of the frame and take it to the next level. Shep's a lunatic and would run somebody over for a parking space, but I think this has got to him. I'm serious. How would the media help the feds make this better?
bull--do you even know how to spell it?---MARTIAL LAW
This is a teaching moment for the Government. This is what dependency gets you.
Govt at all levels is inept and incapable of doing its job. From GWB down to the dog catcher, we do not have men like Patton running the show who knew how to handle messes like this.
......just had to get in the obligatory "bush bash"
>>>How many "days" do you think the Iraq war took, from inception to termination of hostilities ?>>>
I didn't say that, I said topple a government. My point was that we showed our muscle in that situation, this is a humbling showing for all of us. I'm not getting into an argument with you about this. The military has let NO down. IMO. Period.
I wouldn't crow to loudly if I were you. You've been registered since 2000 and you don't seem to know that marshal law suspends the Constitution. The 'Nooob' is right, the President saying 'Zero Tolerance' doesn't mean or do squat. The reports are coming in that things continue to deteriorate. People are leaving the Superdome because it isn't safe there. That's pretty bad if the authorities can't even police an enclosed well defined area like that. It's out of control and spiraling down.
You have not spelled it right yet.
How are people who were told to go to the Superdome supposed to do this? They are helpless.
What did you want me to do? ;)
