The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Home grown Islamists may hit US: FBI chief
Full Story

WASHINGTON -- The United States could be attacked by "home grown" Islamist terror groups, the FBI's chief has warned.

FBI Director Robert Mueller told the London Financial Times newspaper in an interview published Thursday that the United States could face attacks from "home-grown terrorism" very similar to the July 7 bombings in London that killed 52 people and wounded another 700, Mueller said.

When asked if the United States could face such attacks from "home-grown groups", Mueller answered emphatically: "Absolutely, it could," the Financial Times said.

I do thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.

This link is to a thread about Atef's computer in 2002 and all the Zawahiri info and coded letters.

A birthday is also one of the codes in the opening article.

Calpernia opened the thread and we put a lot of info in it a year or so ago, but the codes are still good.

I do hope that you will post with us on a daily basis, I like the way your mind sorts things out.

Mine kinda throws it all in a box and then I have to dig for it......

They certainly were quick to assure everyone the virus had been destroyed. I wondered if a bomb was involved.

Check out my new tagline.

Much to ponder. I'm going to be away from the computer and news much of the weekend, but I'll try to catch up when I can. Stay safe, all.

I've been so busy that I missed the remote viewing discussion. It's interesting to see the jihadi attack pictures before and after your post. Looks that things are heating up for NYC.

Bomb rocks Cline, I-94 area (East Chicago)
Post.Trib.com ^ | Post-Tribune staff

Posted on 10/06/2005 10:08:11 PM PDT by Michael_Michaelangelo

EAST CHICAGO — A bomb explosion on Cline Avenue near Interstate 94 rocked the area Wednesday night and tied up traffic for hours.

No injuries from the blast were reported.

Police were notified of a possible bomb in the back of a car about 7:45 p.m. at Cline Avenue north of Columbus Avenue.

Authorities cleared the expressway and the surrounding area before attempting to detonate the device about 9 p.m.

Lake County police were still gathering information late Wednesday.

Police spokesman Mike Higgins said East Chicago police received a call about a domestic disturbance involving a weapon.

During a traffic stop related to that call, police found a man and a severely beaten woman inside a car. The woman told police there was a bomb in the vehicle.

Higgins said police took the man into custody and requested assistance from the Lake and Porter County Bomb Squad.

Traffic on Cline Avenue and Interstate 94 was stopped. Traffic remained backed up after 10:30 p.m.

Bomb squad officers sent a robot to retrieve the package. When they attempted to open the package, an explosion occurred inside the vehicle.

Sheriff Roy Dominguez said three explosive devices were detonated by police.

Federal investigators with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were requested.

Names of the suspect and other details were not available at press time.

“It’s a burnt shell,” Lt. Chris Eckert, commander of the bomb squad, said of the car. “We’re not touching it until the ATF arrives.”

The location of the vehicle was at the exit for Columbus Drive and Chicago Avenue within sight of the Trump and Majestic Star casino boats.

The thought has been nibbling at me all afternoon, so here it is, I will share it....LOL

Do you recall almost 2 years ago, the New York Subways kept
finding bottles of water setting along the walls and no one knew where they came from?

Was it gallon milk type bottles?

I think it was many bottles and more than one incident.

Thanks Ian for understanding my motivation in that post. If they could create panic, hysteria, violence, etc., it would save them from doing much at all as Americans would be in-fighting among themselves and the jihadis would hardly need to lift a finger to obtain desired results.

I have to go to the city of Vernon every once in a while. There are only 50 houses or so, the rest is all industry. The main attraction is the Farmer John plant, where they slaughter pigs and take leftovers of every kind and make hot dogs.

The drivers are absolutely nuts.....it is like the Tijuana Expressway.

Wow!

4 bombs in the car, it appears the wife was not a willing partner.

Reminds me of the Iraq reports of suicide cars that had the driver chained to the steering wheel.

There were photos in one of the "You Gotta See This" threads.
