The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Home grown Islamists may hit US: FBI chief

WASHINGTON -- The United States could be attacked by "home grown" Islamist terror groups, the FBI's chief has warned.

FBI Director Robert Mueller told the London Financial Times newspaper in an interview published Thursday that the United States could face attacks from "home-grown terrorism" very similar to the July 7 bombings in London that killed 52 people and wounded another 700, Mueller said.

When asked if the United States could face such attacks from "home-grown groups", Mueller answered emphatically: "Absolutely, it could," the Financial Times said.

I agree with you, and just posted something similar on the main FR thread about the OU bomber. The news blackout has been frustrating, but I believe its happening to give LE time to sort through all the evidence before going public with their findings. There are so many conflicting stories floating around right now, many of them probably rumors.

My gut feel is no terrorism involved...at least not any organized, Al-Quaida related terrorism. The kid may have wanted to take out some people while killing himself, and as such, that is a form of terrorism. But the AQ signature is usually several similar incidents in rapid succession, and that has not happened.

I had to read this 3 times.

The engineer who was driving the train in the fatal accident, said he was following the signals.

The reports said he was speeding.

Now you have another in the same spot, doing the same thing.

I don't know how the electronics on signals work, but I have found the signal boxes miles from people.

My first rockhound book, had a railroad site listed as a good source for collectible rocks, they had been used on the rail bed.

Plus there are usually roads along side of the tracks.

Children Sickened At N.J. Catholic School

EDISON, N.J. -- Authorities believe a food-borne illness sickened 14 elementary school children at Our Lady of Peace School in Edison Tuesday.

Police said four of the children were taken to JFK Medical Center in Edison. Another 10 were treated at the scene.

There's no word yet from school officials.

And the lunches are now using a new food contractor. (I make my kids their own lunch)

I got a notice sent home from the school nurse also about a student coming down with something and was sent home. This is standard procedure when the nurse doesn't know what a child has.

BREAKING: New Voice of Caliphate (Al Qaeda TV) Released Today

A new broadcast of Voice of the Caliphate (Sout al Khalifa), dubbed Al Qaeda TV by the media, has been released today.

This is the third broadcast of Voice of the Caliphate to date.

The series first debuted on September 21, and was followed last week by a second and much shorter broadcast.

Driver left and returned.

That one makes me want to ask questions.....LOL

Why did he leave?

Did the same driver return after an hour, as the one who was really driving?

It will be interesting, watching the Gov. do the cover-ups, but they need to take more lessons from the clinton crew.

I have thought for a couple months that President Bush was under a great strain, from the looks of all the hidden reports, I can well imagine that I would look worried also.

FDNY Commissioner says it will be shut for at least a day to inspect, maybe longer. Is the Bruckner a major artery in and out of the city?

I'll say it again...

Too damn many tank trucks crashing and burning. Police should be conducting random license checks on all tank truck drivers about now. This is leading up to something, and I'm afraid these are either rehearsals or "softening up" operations.
