From Staff Reports
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.

The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department.

The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State.

After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.

Is my tin foil hat giving me a brain cramp, or are those mountains in the back from Colorado or the snow capped hills of Pakistan?

"No more jihadi."

What an insensitive comment :<}

Think I'll get myself a beer to help assuage my guilt at laughing at it.

Don't you think he must have had a car-bomb in mind for the ammonium nitrate?

"I am still interested in exactly what we are going to hear from President Bush this week. I got a gut feeling it ain't going to be good. This incident, the DC bio chemicals, the new concern about the Avian Flu and Bali are not looking pretty from this part of the USA."

Don't forget the case of POLIO in MN that they are trying to hush as well.

Also, said he and his wife divorced, anyone know where the Mother is?

I read somewhere she was still in Colorado Springs. They didn't mention her first or last name.

There is an Arab Student Association and in October 2002 they were not happy with one of the guest speakers on Campus.

BTW, the speaker's comments are alone worth the trip to the site.

The reporter says they don't have a positive ID of the body and it will be "months" until cause of death is determined!

Quite possible, and would jibe with early reports -- now denied -- that there were other devices found in the area. For all we know, he could have been planning multiple detonations -- some on the buses, some at the stadium. It appears he had enough stuff back at his apartment for even more mischief. And what about the two ME men that the Persian girl reportedly saw running? Might one of them be the Pakistani roommate?

That could well be...but if so, there are at least two more--and probably more--people involved.

Heh, this guy sure wanted to make sure he'd be dead after committing suicide, eh? No slashed wrists, sleeping pills, or even a bullet in the head for him. No siree. Why take any chances on surviving when you can use TATP or AN? We can be glad he didn't have access to a dirty nuke, to make sure he had absolutely no chance of surviving a suicide attempt.

Interesting that it's relatively unimportant to inform us what country the child's relatives could have gotten it from. Why don't they just tell us? Instead of letting us throw the dice?

http://www.kare11.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=108475

"Investigators are testing relatives and others who have had close contact with the child to see whether anyone else may have been infected. They suspect that someone contracted the polio virus in another country and unwittingly passed it on."

Well, all they have are the legs. Maybe he had a very bad case of flesh-eating bacteria from the waist up. /sarc

Well there are certainly lots of farm supply stores in Oklahoma, and with that beard he could be taken for an Amish farmer, however, in most farming communities most dealers know their clients and I wonder how they discovered his want to buy the stuff and from who...I don't believe you can purchase on eBay or can ship through the mail.
