My mom has been in the hospital with a respiratory infection for almost a week, and we learned today that doctors have found cancer. We don't know what type at this point (I don't believe it's at all related to the infection), or how serious it is, but the news was devastating. In addition, she has to battle this respiratory illness, which has been bad.
I'm praying constantly, as are the rest of my family. Cancer has killed two of my aunts and my grandfather, and this news hits everyone in my family hard. Relatives are coming to visit from all over the country, and I'm really thankful for it. We need family right now.
Please, pray for my mom.
We're all going to just put our trust in God and have hope that things will work out
I apologize if this post isn't coherent, but my mind is numb right now.
Thanks for updating us...
Prayers continuing...ever & ever.
Prayers going up.
I'm so sorry you're going through this rough time. I'm sure you are a real blessing for your Mom, and you'll provide strength and comfort for her. There's just nothing like a daughter! Take care of yourself, stay positive, and keep us posted.
Adding prayers...
Prayers offered for her and for you also.
Not that it matters a whole lot, but I'm a guy. :)
Anyway, I won't lie, I felt much better today than I did yesterday. After the initial shock, I do realize the blessings; my family, the fact that my mom is in good medical care, and that she has numerous family, friends, and others who care who are praying.
I'll continue to stay hopeful, and I ask the rest of you to keep praying. God bless.
Did I give you a giggle? I hope so.
a prayer bump
And for you and the rest of your family for strength and God's guidance.
Take care,
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. (The Memorare, Prayer of St. Bernard to Our Lady)
Dear Baseball...Your dear mom and your whole family are in my daily prayers.
God comfort and strengthen your family and shelter your Mom under His mighty wings...Holy Mary, Mother of Our Lord, please intervene on behalf of this mother who is needed and beloved by her family, as she struggles against this attack from within. And if it be Your will, O Lord, give her the victory.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your mom, you and your family. I lost my MIL two years ago after her battle, I hope and pray that your mom's fight will be successful!
Best FRegards,
Lone, Mrs.Lone & family

Well, some more info today:
Just so you all know, my mom was initially hospitalized with a very small blood leakage in the brain, and kept at the hospital with her lung illness, and in treating the lung illness the doctors found cancer. At first, the doctors were concerned that the blood leakage was cancer related, but we learned today that they no longer believe so. They still don't know what caused the leakage (which was minor, but was causing my mom to hallucinate and cause faintness), and there isn't %100 certainty that it isn't cancer related, but that's the belief.
They believe that the cancer is on the lung (which I hadn't known before), but the hope is that it is isolated and contained to one lung. Doctors are working on the best treatments for when she recovers from her respiratory illness, so we'll be praying some more for a fast recovery from her illness so that doctors can get to work on the cancer.
Thanks again for all the prayers and good thoughts. There were so many potentially worse pieces of news that we could've recieved that we're all sort of relieved that the news today, considering the circumstances, was good,
