Sorry for the late reply. I missed your ping. Tony Snow really posts on that thread. He will sometimes make a comment to the thread also. His radio producer posts there too. It's an excellent show and thread. The three hours fly by. :)

Now suddenly, it's a daily thing, but only about Miers. It's very clear someone has a major axe to grind with her (not Bush), and maybe even against Mrs. Bush.

Not ONLY about Miers. If we're to believe several reporters/pundits (quoting WH sources) they claim that the WH is becoming unraveled over Rove/Libby and GWB is trying to distance himself from both gents. On top of that you have attorneys, coming out of the Grand Jury hearing, leaking what was/was not said to Fitzgerald.

Anyone have the poll number info that Rush was talkign about earlier today. I am in a fight with some college kids and I need the back up that Rush was talking about today saying Bush is 5 points above the lows of all other presidents.

There are some things that have happened in the last ten days since her nomination that could not have been scripted better for destruction of the republican Party by Howard Dean and his nutcases. You do not rag on a decent woman or the First Lady also a decent woman, and not pay a terrible price for it. Right now I am not listening to Hannity, I mostly tuned Rush out today, and it all is beginning to sound like noise. We will all stay active, but we do not need talk radio blasting in our ears all day we have the internet and FR, and of course the Bloggers. Make a difference in your Community is what I tell everyone, and we will prevail.

Rush's show today was a big step in the right direction.

He is best when he is analyzing the news on the fly, and not becoming the story himself.

Thursdays show was a perfect example of not getting caught up in the Miers debate and giving right on commentary of what is happening, instead of passing judgement.

Amazing how like the Dinosaur Media our side has gotten. Now every unsubstituted rumor and wild accusation is suddenly "leaking". So which part of which smear campaign is this line? The one that said "22 top WH officials will be indited by this weekend" (That was last weekend's lie) or the one that says "3 WH officials will be indited by Friday(that would be tomorrow)"?

It was better than normal, but the bone Rush threw out is not all that meaty.

There were many people urging wisdom and patience all last week and this week, and Rush dismissed us in favor of toeing the line for the gyno gals rhetoric.

OMG, I stand corrected and admit I got caught up in the 'leak' mantra but never once believed the BS. It's probably due to my accidently watching Chris Matthews yesterday where I learned that all the leaks (RUMORS) we are hearing are coming from attorneys representing clients who are there to testify about illegal leaks, no less. Hanging my head in shame.

I had to leave for a while this afternoon....

BUT, I was reading your post, and you were talking about spotting DUmmies on this site...and you mentioned spelling errors...

WELL... I was a straight A student in spelling..but I find that my mind works faster than my fingers...and sometimes my fingers work faster than the keys on my keyboard...

SO...therefore, I have many spelling errors..because these threads move so fast...who has time to spell check???

Please, please don't assume then, that I am a DUmmie..cause if you do...I will either have to slow my brain, speed my fingers..or use spell check...yikes!!! LOL

As you highlighted, I wrote "Coulter called Miers nothing more than a legal secretary and a cleaning lady". I kept to the facts and did not address you in any type of personal attack.

You wrote something to the affect that the White House had no reason to claim sexism and elitism. I also said I was in the minority of posters that do believe comments like these are sexist. I guess you need to be a woman who has worked in the corporate world to understand why I feel that way. As for comments being elitist, I guess that too is in the eyes of the reader. I have read numerous blogs and numerous posts on FR about Miers not attending the right school. I never wrote that you said that. That "secretary" comment of Coulters really gets under my skin. Back in the 80's I got my MBA (non Ivy League) and worked my way into bank management in NYC at Chase earning the title "Assistant Secretary". It was low level management but it was management. Twenty some years later and I still have to answer what my secretarial skills were at Chase. It is quite doubtful that any male with the title has ever had to explain.

Attacking me for no reason certainly doesn't bring the debate any more civil.

I think the Kennedy/McCain Immigration Bill is like you described...but the Kyl/Cornyn Bill..that is more like Bush wants..has a guest-worker program...

The Kennedy/McCain one definitely has amnesty...

I saw that the government is sending Federal marshalls down to the border as we type...so that is good.

Also, I saw on Fox tonight that a poll showed that 51% of Americans favor a wall built between the Mexico and USA borders...

Therefore, I dare say it will be tweaked...but I really think Bush leans more the way you say you want it than you think...

You are not mad that the troops are still in Iraq....you want more troops??? Bush SAYS he has ordered as many sent as the field Generals ask for...so either we believe him and blame the military...

Or call Bush a liar...and blame him for not enough troops...I just don't know the answer to that one...

I guess what I am trying to say is...that Bush isn't King or Dictator....he is the POTUS, and he has the Bully Pulpit...but even Billy Graham preaches to people that leave and sin....

So..Bush should not be blamed totally for the deficit spending, or all of the other things...CONGRESS needs to take their share...and, having watched the coverage on C-span as much as I have...

I and many other freepers have come to the conclusion that Congress is broken and needs to be fixed...

And, along with that...Bush needs to listen to the RIGHT people...LIKE YOU!!! LOL
