The "Go-Go White Sox" reached the World Series in 1959. Go back further, to 1917, for the last South Side champs.

THE PENNANT, BABY! FIRST TIME IN 46 YEARS FOR CHICAGO!!!

Since a highspeed shutter cam did not record it, I'd say there is a 95% it did not hit the ground.
Obviously the ump could not see the ball, it sounded like a trapped ball to him - he made the right call. {except that pump-the-fist thingy}

Hillary is a Cub fan? OMG, I feel dirty.
You should, keep her Park Ridge butt up on the north side...

There's still a baseball club on the south side? I didn't even realize...

I knew he was alive and was wondering where he was! Was there at the game? Buck Owens is also still alive.

And Billary will remember she said that once.
Thanks but ugh. I still feel like a shower.

There was something strange about the way that ball was caught. As I watched the scene unfold on television I remember thinking to myself: "Why the heck did he roll that ball back to the mound? I think it may have hit the ground!"
Sure enough . . . LOL.

Could you believe it when they showed 97-year-old Al Lopez? Lopez was remarkable to we kids that hung out at the back gate after every game, he would make the players stop and sign our caught balls and programs.. We would trade the signatures for hot dogs and stuff at the next game... :)

Let's Go White Sox....
Let's Go White Sox....
Let's Go White Sox....
Let's Go White Sox....
Na Na Na Na...
Na Na Na Na...
Hey, Hey, Goodbye......
That was an awesome game and an awesome series.
Now maybe the pathetic press will give a little well deserved respect for our Pitchers and our hitters.
Although I think Crede makes a good case for MVP as well as the Pitchers, It was Konerko with getting us the lead in the other games.
Awesome Job Ozzie, Ken, Tim, and Joey, as well as Jerry for letting them put together this great staff.
Bring on the NL, we're ready, willing, and able to beat on them, too.
Great Job, White Sox.
Best Regards,
Joe

What happened to Vlad Guerrero in this series? One of the best hitters in baseball during the regular season- his average (after his first at-bat tonight) for this series was .059! Talk about a fall!

Congrats to the Sox.
Worst umpiring I've seen in years though. Game 2, game 4. Really shook the Angels.
Best of luck in the World Series. Hopefully for all of baseball, they put some quality umpires in there because they were awful.
