Politics is not an "art". Unless it is referred to in the sense of warfare. Politics, practiced by those who wish to lead and control government, is warfare. It is not pretty, nor is it something to be held up as would a Renior or Degas. To compete against the domestic enemies in the opposition, (few of which are "loyal") the political must wage a war of propaganda and ideas.
