Also telling is the fact that the most conservative commentators in our country had to fight the President for 3 weeks on the Miers nomination before it was rescinded. It was the last thing any of them ever wanted to do.
But Americans who believe in principles over persons need to fight harder during this administration than they/we anticipated.
You need to work in the WH PR office.
You did a far better job of highlighting Bush's success than any of his minions to date!

Condi Rice, on O'Reilly, said, point blank, that Bush was most concerned about how "history will treat him". What a disgrace. He really DOESN'T have the will, or desire, and it's an absolute DISGRACE.

It's not just him. It's Cheney, Frist, Hastert... Especially CHENEY... For all of Gore's faults, he was Bubba's attack dog, defending him against one and all... And he did a GREAT job at it. Cheney's been an absolute disaster the past couple of years... I wish he would be replaced by Condi.
That's exactly the point IMHO. His minions are NOT talking him up, not reminding us of his accomplishments, not fighting for this administration, instead they are wimps. The point about our sons and daughters hits home the hardest with many of us who have sons and daughters fighting in this war. That's why I'm mad as hell about W not fighting. Allowing anti-American legislators to get away with treasonous and seditious remarks that can cost lives during war is inexcusable.
Come on W, QUIT BEING MR. NICE GUY!! Your are endangering our sons and daughters by not fighting. They're fighting for you--FIGHT FOR THEM!!
Yeah it's hard to defend him on Katrinia when he gives them the "I take responsibility" sound bite.
It was so obvious who the idiots were, and it was easy for people like us to cite that information and send a lib running with his tail between his legs.
But no matter how much you defend him, and how well you do it, it's defused when the President caves.
