Two teens sought after killings spotted
LITITZ, Pa. - A missing 14-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man who allegedly murdered her parents were spotted at a central Pennsylvania truck stop Monday morning, but were not caught, police said.
A worker at the truck stop told The Associated Press the girl appeared to have been crying.
Police said David G. Ludwig killed 14-year-old Kara Beth Borden's parents, Michael F. and Cathryn Lee Borden, early Sunday after they and their daughter argued about her curfew. The shootings took place at the family's home in Warwick Township, about 60 miles west of Philadelphia.
Lititz Police Chief William Seace said Monday afternoon that Ludwig and Kara Beth, who is believed to be Ludwig's girlfriend, had been "positively identified" at a truck stop in Lamar, about 90 miles from the Borden home.
Amanda Workman, the shift manager at the Subway sandwich shop at the truck stop, said she sold the couple an Italian sub at about 9 a.m. Monday, and thought they matched a radio description she had heard earlier...
It is really weird reading different Xanga blogs by people who know Kara and her family.
I was trying to find Kara's since I am almost 100 percent sure she has one......everybody does under the age of 18. But, instead I am heartbroken reading posts by her friends etc.
this is KAra's blog

Pics are all bandwidth exceeded. Certainly does not seem like a typical homeschooled girl...into partying etc.
It would be much easier if there were a simple explanation, because then we could feel safe. We could make ourselves safe. It's scary to think that these things can happen in good families, in good communities, to good people.
Sometimes, people who know better, people who have no excuse, simply make bad, even evil, choices with disastrous consequences. Sometimes, there are no good answers.
What a sad situation for all the families.
I hope parents are aware that even with the computer in a family room, the kids can still be reading horrible comments in the chat rooms and blogs.
Just lately I searched and found the blog of a friend's son (I've known the boy since he was 3 years old). I was totally shocked at the perverse comments and thinking of this boy (he's 18 now).
His mom had told me he had changed the last year for the worse, but I still couldn't believe these "writings" of his came from the same nice boy I knew all those years.
I'm not going to tell his mom I found the blog---it would break her heart too much if she ever read it.
So you parents out there, beware of your children's chat times. They may not be writing terrible things themselves, but they sure can read all kinds of filth, perversion, and rebellion on those blogs and message groups.
Please don't take this lightly. If you're still doubtful, go to some of the xanga sites yourself and read some of the blogs, even some of the college students' blogs at xanga.
There's another site called openteendairy. My friend's son had a blog there too.
Apparently they write these blogs, and then their friends can post comments. It can be shocking....some of these kid's minds are really twisted.
Here is a link to an article in the Lancaster, Pa. newspaper online. The article has a chat transcript from the girls website. See what you think, sounds like she & the boyfriend had a problem that her friend was aware of. To me, it sounds like she may be pregnant.

She is fourteen, granted. . .but yes; choices have consequences; so while perhaps never imagining the worst. . .she is still not just an observer here.
The real tragedy is not a passion out-of-control; but rather TWO parents dead; and three kids; left without a Mother and Father.
"Lizzie Borden took an axe, and gave her father 40 whacks. And when she was all good and done, she gave her mother 41".
Ludwig may have had a dark side, according to court documents released Friday
