Oh, sweetheart..........it has to do with corrupt leftists, and your hero bill the rapist is corruption's poster child.

The problem with you leftists is that the word 'shame' is not in your vocabulary. You pride yourselves in wallowing in slime.......and would never even consider being sorry for hurting others, or this country.

I used to think that the Democrat party was just a party where people had differing ideas, but now I know better.

Yours is a party not only devoid of ideas, but devoid of morality, decency and love of country. When your 'leaders' break laws, they become gods. They are not filled with shame like Duke Cunningham is. They are filled with pride, and raised in rank and power in your party.

btw, why don't you consider joining Cindy in the ditch reviling our troops, or Ramsey in Iraq defending a murderous beast. They represent the true colors of the present democrat party.

You must be so proud that you belong to such a vile group of anti-American extremists.

Mention the word corruption and xlinton is first in line in the thoughts of any decent human being.

Problem is, I don't think there's a leftist out there who qualifies as 'decent' any more.....

When the so-called 'feminist' movement defended the amoral, misogynist woman abuser xlinton, they showed their true colors. Dishonest, valueless, and just as debauched as their 'hero.'

I'm sure MurryMom is still blinded by her adoration of the swine who once occupied and defiled the White House with his filth. Praise GOD he's out of there.

And may God have mercy on us again and help us keep her evil political partner WINO from ever getting near the place.....

Both Bush and Quayle suffer from belonging to the same party as Tom DeLay and Dick Armey. With those two old grouches sitting in the front row at the State of the Union address, the Republicans are doomed to being a minority party for several more years. Hopefully the Republican nominee in 2000 will be smart enough to avoid any association with the Texas grouches.

Seems that you never get too close to the truth of the matter.
Regardless, happy holidays, Murrymom.

Not automatically. But there is no doubt the house would vote to expell him.

I wonder what will become of Duke's spouse. Will she be charged? Did she have full knowledge? (Is it conceivable she is not guilty?) Is she effectively bankrupted, presumably along with her husband? Will she file for divorce?

Will Duke receive pensions after pleading guilty?

How much of this was known by his son when his son turned to drugs?

The karmic price seems very steep...

It seems to me that Duke's unpardonable sin among his Congressional colleagues (both R and D) was not necessarily that he was corrupt (a corrupt federal politician being almost an oxymoron these days), but that he was not especially smart about covering his tracks. At the least, he could have arranged for payments to be made to a foreign bank account of a relative rather than something so easily identified as a bogus real estate flip. Almost anyone with a home and payments can spot a bogus real estate transaction. It seems to me that the out-in-the-open nature of the sweetheart deals is what differentiates this particular case from so many others (eg Delay, the Clintons, etc.) in the same league.

Yes, she could say that she pleads "guilty" to trying to "help" people, and the people will rally to her in complete belief. It must be some kind of mind control that the Clinton couple has over the hapless American voter. It must be like that which the Argentines had for both Perons.

The numero 100 defense contractor's holding company is Athena Innovative Solutions. What are the names of their owners/directors?

I too am appalled by Duke's actions....however no one can say he came cheap, unlike the abscam idiots. Hell if you're going to be bribed, make it big bucks. I find the hollier than thou comments on FR interesting....because not many have had the opportunity to be dishonest in a big time way....gut check time when one does!!

Duke has admitted wrong and is facing punishment like a man. It would be refreshing if they all would do that.

LOL! Thanks for reminding me that occasionally my predictions err. At least I can take solace in the fact that your research needed to delve back to early 1999 (more than 6.5 years ago) to find one of my posts bolstering your argument.

Indeed.

Howard Kaloogian for Congress

Though I heard on the radio this morning that Gov. Schwarzenegger gets to choose Cunningham's replacement for the remainder of the term. If that's true, then we might end up with someone more inferior.

Congressman Mutha is in similar trouble. I think his recent antics were rather Clintonian to avoid getting the spotlight himself.

Good to know folks are so well-versed on the protocol for Congressional races. 8-0 No Governor is empowered to fill a vacancy in a U.S. House seat at any time. He is empowered to call a special election for the vacancy. Only a U.S. Senate seat is a Governor empowered to make an appointment in the case of vacancy (and in some states, they don't even have that power).

Of course Arnold may be a little gun-shy on special elections by now.
