You feel sad for this clown?

He's a crook who should be in the slammer.

I feel sad when greed overtakes ethics..I am not sad for Cunningham. I am sad he was not an ethical man. I agree he deserves to pay for his crimes..

Fortunately for us in that district, it last elected a Democrat (within a much larger area) in 1950 when Clinton McKinnon was elected to his final term. There's only been 3 GOP occupants since (Bob Wilson, Bill Lowery & Cunningham). Ironically, Cunningham first won in an adjacent 'Rat seat (the district that is now held by Bob Filner) over the troubled sleazoid Jim Bates back in '90. He moved to take the retiring Lowery's district when he didn't wanted to take his chances running against Filner. It's highly unlikely the 'Rats could win this seat now, as they corralled all the area Republicans into it to ensure cretins like Filner, Susan Davis have little problems in holding their bailiwicks.

Duke has admitted wrong and is facing punishment like a man. It would be refreshing if they all would do that.

Hillary would need a sex change.

That's good. So let's make sure we get the most conservative representative possible. RINOs need not apply.

You ever known a Conservative district being a deterrent to RINOs trying to jam their club feets in the door ?

Let's get a strong Republican ACTIVIST into this seat:
Howard Kaloogian!

Howard served in the state Assembly, launched the Recall Gray Davis Committee, and founded Move America Forward, a pro-troops organization. His website is:

Be prepared for a new barrage of "culture of corruption" 24/7.

A corrupt politician comes as no surprise to swing voters who think all politicians are crooked. It's not likely to affect their vote. The rats think all Republicans are pure evil. It's not likely to affect their vote.

A dishonest barrage of 'culture of corruption," is designed to suppress our base. It is probably the most effective agenda the rats have now since they can't capitalize on a robust economy. Time will tell if it is successful but things do not look good for the rats in 06. The media keeps shouting about the President and Republicans poll numbers but they forget to tell you how despised the rats are.

We can't lose the House until 2012 because the 2010 census will determine how gerrymandering for congressional districts will form. There are very few competitive seats in the House in 06. In the Senate more rats are up for re-election than Republicans.

Elections are a year away. Very little of this will matter in 12 months. I think it is likely the partisan MSM will only hurt themselves, alienate viewers, and lose more and more influence. They aren't the only game in town since the advent of talk radio, fox news and the internet.

Thanks for reminding me that occasionally my predictions err.

It seems that you've again erred. "occasionally" is not a synonym of often.

Happy holidays, Mom.

If Duke had a "D" next to his name, no one would be talking about this. Call me cynical, but I have a feeling it never would have been investigated at all. You can't tell me that people like Pelosi and Murtha haven't taken plenty of "gifts" from left-wing interest groups. It's just that the left is much more aggressive about investigating and prosecuting. If the right has as mucn interest in litigating as the left does, believe me, 2/3 of the Democrats in Congress would be behind bars. Lucky for them, we're too busy winning elections to waste our time going through their dirty laundry.

There are a lot of people saying this guy was set up. His yacht and Rolls were someone elses, and his house was an investment (He bought a $4 mil house for $2.5 mil, as a speculation)

This guy is just an old codger that tried to flip a house. The company he was involved with was a front for 'Rent a mercenary'. He wouldn't go along with something so they taught him a lesson

I've heard that too. To me, Duke Cunningham is still a hero -- innocent until proven guilty.

Unlike Dimocraps, Republicans are far too stupid to be crooks.
Also Dims don't hesitate to prosecute Pubbies when they get half a chance. Not too many cases of Pubs prosecuting Dims. They don't have the stomach for it. Look at the N.O. officials who had 500 or so "ghost" policemen on the payroll. Havn't seen any prosecutin' goin' on down theah. I could come up with many more examples but the list would wear my typing fingers out.
BTW, Cunningham deserves whatever he gets I'm sad to say.
