He is an ignorant @hole indeed. Unbelievable that he views his mission as being impeded by citizens having access to the same mission. I never heard of a mission that was against missions. This guy is more interested in controling the slaves for his paycheck than the criminals... typical.

These are the same people that required Glock to put a 12.5 lb trigger on a gun which comes with a 5.5 lb trigger. That's 'cause it helps with the accuracy, you see... ;-)

odd that the reverse is generally true under geneva convention The real purpose of jacketed bullets used by the military is to wound the enemy. It ties up several others to care for a wounded. A dead enemy can be forgotten.
Ultimately, a war is economic and the first to run out of troops and recources is more likely to lose.
Troops that are tied up moving wounded or providing care for wounded cannot be used as front line troops.

"Our mission is to stop violent felons," said Patrolmen's Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch. "There is no reason for anyone else to have that ability." The intended victims of violent felons have far more need for the ability to stop them than you do, Mr. Lynch.

Um...excuse me? I would like that ability also. Why should I have to waste 3 or four shots when it should only take one. One shot one kill.

You can still buy them, if they were made before the ban was put in effect...I bought a box a few years ago...it was missing 2 bullets out of a 20 rd. box. I don't know if they were banned nationwide, or just in my state(CT.)
To: najida
Lucky you. Wish I could get my hands on a box.

1. They are against armor piercing bullets, round nose types
2. they are against expandable ones
Go freaging figure. It's always the same thing. What kills kills and is meant for that. What part of the 2nd amendment they do not understand? There is no P.C. bullet except no bullets, I guess.

I really, really wish these news services would at least try to educate their writers about guns. This doesn't contain a single sentence that doesn't make me laugh out loud.

Yeah... Better that the bad guys have FMJ bullets to go through body armor.
Just curious, but is mental retardation a requirement for holding a management position within the NYPD?

Cops favor using the hollow-point bullets because they are less likely to pass through a target and ricochet into a fellow cop or bystander. Which is why they are a favored choice for home defense use as well.

Well I guess I'll have to continue using my 200gr EFMJ in the .45 for now. By the way, this guy gives the Lynch's a bad name.
