On January 4, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. (PST) the Rose Bowl Game will host the BCS National Championship, between USC and Texas once again showcasing the best of collegiate football in "The Granddaddy of Them All."® The Rose Bowl will be broadcast exclusively on ABC and on ESPN radio.

Are you sure? I understand that if he gets control and then his knee hits down before the drop, then its a completion. But if he hits the ground ball first ball first and it jars the ball out, then its got to be either an incomplete pass or a fumble.

I didn't say fumble, I said INCOMPLETE PASS. Yeah, that sounds correct. It struck me as wrong when the announcers were talking about it. The rule has always been the ground can't cause a fumble.

In the NFL the ground cannot cause an incomplete pass nor a fumble. The same goes for Interceptions.
