>Doesn't matter. If, USC wants to go by BCS rules (either they do or don't), they've only received ONE title. To claim otherwise is to reduce their legitimacy<

Of course if they act like Democrats, they would be expected to try and have it both ways.

What shocked me about Texas were all the fumbles. Sure, they recovered most of them. But to be that slippery-fingered is inexcusable. It's a lack of concentration pure and simple. Texas was averaging something like 3 fumbles per game coming into tonight's game.

The quarterback and running back coaches had better put some special emphasis into reducing fumbles before the next season rolls around. They can't always count on good luck to bail them out.

I know what you mean. I've followed them since the beginning (sports editor for my Seattle college paper, 1977). One of my cronies' parents are season ticket holders since Game One and the front office ALWAYS takes his 80-year-old Mom's calls every Monday morning ('Hawks are flying them out if they make the Super Bowl). Oh, yeah, I've been through a lot with that team. I bleed 'Hawk. :-)

SOONER!!!

OMG! I didn't do ANY of that stuff. I said the words "GO TEXAS" once, on the last (GAME-WINNING) drive. Sorry, twice, on important downs.

PLEASE DON'T TELL ANYBODY!!

Vick is a great athlete, but he's the most overrated QB in the NFL.

LOL - he is no longer thought of that highly.

Notice that ABC couldn't get off the air fast enough!

I noticed the first two folks they talked to were the LOSING coach and the LOSING quarterback. When have you ever seen that happen in a big game before?

yeah they are pretty good I think.

USC doesn't have the best defensive line, but Texas did hold up very very well against Ohio State, which had one of the best defenses in the country this year. I think they only gave up a sack or two in the game back in September.

Exactly. He even has Randall's running style and loopy throwing motion. Remember, in his prime, Randall had absolutely no help on offense with the Eagles. What I love most about Young is his steely nerves. He has to come out. How do you top that performance?

LenDale White is going to be a better NFL running back than Reggie Bush.

Reminds me of Lydell Mitchell and Franco Harris of Penn State. Mitchell got lots more yards in college, but Harris, who blocked for him, is the more memorable NFL back.

What made me cheer fo UT today was the USC fans like that who call the LSU BCS championship mythical. LSU played by the rules and won it fair and square. As said elsewhere had it been reversed USC fans and most of America wouldn't even know that LSU won the AP championship.

Perhaps they call a local crew in for landings on special occasions.

When Texas was down 12 and the clock was in the 6:20's, a Texas wide receiver went out of bounds and the clock didn't stop. That cost 15-20 seconds right there.

Home field advantage backfires!

I picked WVU , and didnt select Texas until USC didnt place there hands over there hearts during the National Anthem. Outside the BCS I only missed Tech for the Big 12, barely.

That was a bad call. They gave up a lot by that one. I was fine with going for it on 4th down. White was killing the Horns all night and if he makes it, they can run out the clock almost. Do what you can to keep the ball away from Young.

In the end he proved why.

I called a 42-34 Texas win on FR weeks ago, and got some heat for it. Unfortunately I gave up gambling as a New Year resolution...
