Really? I think they should have gone deep to Smardzdjia ALOT more. They did it on the first play of the game then started running the ball. Big mistake.
That looks a little more like it... ND over USC next year with USC losing all their players.

OSU adjusted after the first series and Samardija or whomever was running deep was running into double coverage all night long.
Since ND couldn't run the ball effectively, they couldn't get OSU to bring in a 3rd LB and OSU played the entire game in the Nickel....

Pittsburgh's not in either polls top 40; zero votes
Michigan #28 both polls
Purdue: ditto Pittsburgh
Tennessee: ditto Pittsburgh and Purdue.
ND's other "big time" win besides #28 Mich is #30 Navy.
ND beat no one in the top 25. ND is over ranked.
Having watched OSU for the past 15 years or so...
That was one of their best all around performances since 1998 at the very least.....
Nobody's talking about next years poll. Wait until August. I'm talking about this years final poll and ND doesn't deserve to be in the top 10 and never did.

I don't know about ranking WVU up that high to start with, and historically #3 teams in the preseason (see Florida) tend to suck, or at least, not live up to expectations......
Oh in that case I dont care where they end up put them dead last for all I care the season is over...
