Canadian General Election, Live Thread (UPDATE: Conservatives Win!)
Elections Canada ^ | N/A

Posted on 01/23/2006 8:03:44 AM PST by GreenLanternCorps

If JimRob, etc. approve this is the Live Thread for the Canadian General Election, on January 23rd, 2005.

We have a while to go before the returns start coming in, but I thought the thread needed to get up and running.

I don't expect much change with a minority government.

Perhaps this has been asked already. . .but do you use. . .'punch hole'; computer. . .or what kind of voting machines/apparatus?

I mean, they won't do the hanging chad thing. . .will they?

Or the claim the 'messing with the hardware' or even go to the desperate 'slashing tires et al'?

Laureen Browne, a longtime Liberal supporter from Calgary who hasn't missed an election in 40 years, worries a Harper government would kowtow to U.S. interests.

Amazing. They found the only liberal in Alberta and quoted her.
