Another Imprudent Dem (Dem Candidate Rowley portrays opponent as a Nazi on her website)
Powerline ^ | 1/30/06

As the Democratic Party continues its slide into disrepute, there doesn't seem to be any bottom in sight. Here is the latest smear from the Dems: candidate Coleen Rowley has published a despicable slander of my own Congressman and friend, John Kline, depicting him as a Nazi. Click to enlarge:

In a sane world, the pathetic Ms. Rowley would be forced to resign from the race in humiliation. That won't happen, however, as this kind of ridiculous smear is exactly what the Democratic Party is looking for in its candidates. The more outrageous, the better.

Here is Congressman Kline's response to Rowley's smear:

Dear Mrs. Rowley, It has come to my attention that you have placed on your campaign website a doctored photo of me in which my military uniform has been replaced by a Nazi uniform. I demand that you immediately remove from your website that outrageous and disgusting insult to me, my family, and every man and woman who has ever worn a military uniform in defense of our country.

No one knows better than I the rough-and-tumble of a political campaign, but we owe it to the voters not to cross the line of civility, respect and common decency. With regard to each of these, you have clearly crossed the line by portraying me as a Nazi.

I demand a personal apology from you, as well as an apology to every veteran.

Your attempts to smear my good name and 25 years of honorable service in the United States Marine Corps by equating me to a Nazi shows a lack of perspective, a lack of seriousness, and a lack of good judgment. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Sincerely,

John Kline
Member of Congress - Minnesota's 2nd District.

Don't hold your breath. Far from being ashamed, my guess is that Rowley's Nazi slur will increase her fundraising from the Democratic faithful.

... if John Kerry had been elected, he'd be a natural for the three dollar bill.

We'd have to get Clinton off the three dollar bill first.

Coleen Rowley to Join Cindy Sheehan Protest

Wednesday, August 17, 2005

Coleen Rowley, who gained notoriety for leaking classified intelligence after the 9-11 attacks and is now running for Congress as a Democrat, is joining Cindy Sheehan in front of President Bush's Crawford ranch.

I didn't do 1 or 2 but I did do 3 & 4. This year my political money goes to Blackwell, OH; Swann, PA; Steele, MD. Klein is already in congress and is a 25 year Marine vet and will kick her ugly butt.

Yes, this is an outrage.

Some may not like this next comment but it needs saying: We should police up conservative sites as well. The use of Hitler with Sen. Clinton's first name for example. I can't stand her but if we are going to complain about the references to Hitler and the Nazi's to conservatives then it applies equally to us.

Unless, of course, we wish hold ourselves to a lower standard?

Six million Jews and millions more Eastern Europeans lost their lives to the Nazis in their deathcamps. What would they think of our callous usage of comparisons to Hitler or a Nazi?

FYI: My comments above have absolutely nothing to do with being politically correct either.

She's getting creamed in the comments section of her own campaign blog (I made my own little contribution), and by tomorrow she'll be one of the top searches of Technorati. I don't know if she's done, but she's getting a little crispy...

Sounds like she has more in common with Adolf -- another fella who almost made the list to be TIME's Person of the Year.

Well, I was getting excited about the Nazi thing, but then I thought: Who am I to judge a expert on "ethical decision-making"?

Ethical Decision-Making

Coleen Rowley has chosen to make ethical decision-making central to her campaign for office in Minnesota's second congressional district. Why? Because she knows it is a critical and sorely lacking element in today's political environment, as well as in many professions, sports, academics and other day to day activities.

Coleen has considerable experience in ethics training. Beginning in the early 1990's and prior to her retirement from the FBI, she taught Office of Government Ethics and law enforcement ethics to FBI personnel in the Minneapolis office. Coleen has also lectured at a variety of law schools in Texas, Ohio and Minnesota on aspects of the main rules of legal ethics. Since retirement, numerous governmental, professional, civic and church groups have also requested to hear Coleen speak on the topic of ethical decision-making.

So all of you getting on this lady's case should clamp your respective pie-holes. I mean, seriously, are YOU an expert in "ethical decision-making"?

Hey, she's just as ethical as any of her fellow DemocRATS. You don't make your bones until you call your GOP betters "Nazis."

This broad worked for the FBI.

The 9-11 failure is making more and more sense.

I don't have anything really useful to add to this discussion except to observe that Colleen Rowley in every photograph of her physiognomy smiles like a ray of pure sunshine. Who wouldn't want such an optimistic soul to be his or her representative?

This is another of the rat's "rats in uniform" candidates. Yes, yes I know she was not in uniform. She was cia, but she fits because the "rats in uniform" candidate's most important attribute is his/her name. They run on the basically stupid rat notion that people vote for names, not message. Yes they did vote that way in the past, but that was in the day of the black table-phone media's power.
This is a good thing for us, however. Their running people on this basis will waste another cycle for them.
That ash hole hackett in Ohio will crash and burn. In a special last week in Virginia a "rat in uniform" crashed and burned. Oh you didn't hear about that one? Google this "special election victory Chris Peace wins, Viriginia Assembly." You'll find it. The black table-phone media didn't tell us about that race. It didn't fit. If the rat won it would have been page one.
