Russert: It's nice to have a Democrat and Republican sit here together (referring to Edwards and Kemp, both of whom have the same claim to fame -- they were both on their respective losing tickets as the VP nominee).

Brown was totally unprepared for the obstruction and lack of cooperation he found in Louisiana.

He also is not very articulate so he sounds whiny.

Actually, I think Brown has a point. FEMA's mandate is different from an attack on the country. Homeland security and a hurricane don't seem to have much in common. FEMA is more of a coordinating agency with only 2500 people who are used mostly for getting others to respond to emergencies.

No trouble at all: When he was a Bush appointee, he was evil. Now that he's out of the Bush circle, he's a saint. There's no need for a messy transition, just ignore the previous stories.

Stephi's panel talked about that... they said outright the media is so whoreing itself by tearing him down to build him up now that he is willing to give them what they want. Then they went on to say how great it was working, and how it is perfect for the democrats.
