What is Russert going to do about David Gregory? Only a week ago, he was gossiping with Mathews that Cheney might be drunk in that hunting incident. then the NYTimes reports about this "White House reporter syndrome".

NYTimes says that Renana Brooks, a clinical psychologist practicing in Washington who said she had counseled several White House correspondents, said the last few years had given rise to "White House reporter syndrome," in which competitive high achievers feel restricted and controlled and become emotionally isolated from others who are not steeped in the same experience.

What goes around - this time came around, very fast.

Do they have any accounting authority at all?

Thank you Doctor! You must have been waiting for me to wake up!

How's the band going? Did you play, sing, party and drink all night, as usual? ;-)

Michael Brown, former head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency

I'm having trouble getting a handle on Brown. Maybe Wallace can sort it out a little today.

We'll see.

The dead MSM will never get over with Katrina. Wallace don't want his ratings increase, it seems. Someone at Fox should hold him to account and ask him why his ratings never showed any improvement than when Tony Snow hosted.

May be Rove should ask shrink Renana Brooks commission, as she is going to get much higher income this time when those journos back from the trip.

Friday night, for whatever reason, was much more crowded and there was a steady flow of patrons; last night was slow. Some weekends it's hit or miss. For example, during Football season a lot of people attend the Univ. of Virginia Cavalier's games and this can lead to a slow night on Saturdays if its a 'late-game'. However, we still put in a solid 2.5 hour 'set' both nights (we're not musician-union members so we play without a break and until the place clears out).

Good morning, Alas. Must get coffee. I was looking for the guest who would be pointing out the amazing progress made in our relations with India. All I see is Lugar who, as Phsstpok's research indicates, is all in a snit about it.

President asked 5 European nations to negotiate with Iran on nuclear issue. They failed miserably. Then, our President single-handedly achieves an historic deal with India. If this were a Clinton, the topic of Sunday talk shows will be this. But then, we have Powerline guys to show what it really means and President is received there.

President Bush's Indian visit - a great success

President Bush's visit to that country was a success. Little of the coverage was devoted to the inevitable protests, and it lacked the snarky tone of virtually all mainstream American press coverage of anything the President does.

Mr George W. Bush today wooed India like no other US President had ever done before and admitted that he had been “dazzled” by India.

.......... Perhaps for the first time, Mr. Bush saw the simple Indian wooden plough and posed for photographs with it slung across his right shoulder. Amused by a jumbo-size pumpkin, Mr. Bush lifted up to his chest and parodied as if he was going to fall under its weight. Even Bloggers there appreciate Bush.

It's interesting how odd it seems to read accounts of President Bush that are written by people who don't hate him. (Worth Reading in full.)
