Slobodan Milosevic Found Dead in His Cell

Slobodan Milosevic, the former Yugoslav leader who orchestrated the Balkan wars of the 1990s and was on trial for war crimes, was found dead in his prison cell at the U.N. detention center near The Hague, the U.N. tribunal said Saturday. He was 65.

Fox News said he appeared to have died from natural causes. One reporter mentioned Milosevic had a history of heart problems.

Milosevic was trying to have Clinton and Albright called to testify in his trial. Is this another old man McDougal incident?

Wonder who'll play him in the movie version of his life? My bet it'll be an Oliver Stone film.

Get ready for the Democrats and another "Wellstone Memorial" fundraiser/funeral. *Rolleyes*

I'm sure Slick is suiting up, as we type. ;)

This pretty much says "be a genocidal maniac; don't worry about consequences, because by the time we "punish" you, you'll already have died of natural causes. Sick.

Will they continue his trial in absentia?

Would have been interesting to hear slick willie and weasley clark explain their defense of the islamofascists against an American ally.

The verdict must have been "guilty" and he got the death penalty.

I join you in your suspicions about the so called 'guilt' of this man.

"Remember the "firestorm" that started when it was revealed how rich Arafat was? Now we don't hear a peep about it."

All the years Arafat was in power and the people of Palestine never questioned the stories about his socking away untold millions. Then after he dies, they vote Hamas in, basically because of all the money that was stolen from them. What a bunch of dummies.

Croatian Serb war criminal commits suicide at Hague jail

07 March 2006

The former Croatian Serb leader Milan Babic, who admitted war crimes and gave evidence against former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic, has been found dead in his prison cell, apparently after committing suicide.

Babic, who was serving a 13-year sentence for crimes against humanity, was found dead on Sunday evening at the UN's special detention unit in Scheveningen, a suburb of The Hague.

Sounds like we have a rash of deaths under the ICJ.

"He died in a UN detention center. Did the UN treat him all right. Did they force feed him. Did they feed him enough. Were his rights considered. Did he get routine lawyer visits.

If he got sick and the UN didn't tend to his needs sufficiently, can we call that torture, since the definition of torture has been defined downward?

Questions, questions??"

Yeah. Why isn't the ACLU and the Libs all over this? He was pretty much imprisoned without being convicted. Oh the humanity!

Milosevic will be remembered as one of the evilest bastards of the second half of the 20th century.

Hell is a little more crowded this morning.

Sure do. Wonder how long it will be before it looks like the list of folks who died of sudden or suspicious causes in all things Clinton?
