Re: Your attempt to shut down political free speech on the Internet

John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts to find even one thread, one post, one paragraph, one sentence or even one lousy word posted to this web site that is not fully protected by the First Amendment!

And I will extend that to one chapter, one group, one poster or any group of posters on this forum. Name one assembly, petition, letter, protest, meeting or rally convened, filed, submitted, attended or supported by members of this forum that is not 100% protected and guaranteed as free speech or free assembly by the First Amendment!

Your McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation is a treasonous act. You and your cohorts are attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same constitution that you swore an oath to defend, so help you God! That makes you a domestic enemy of that great document and a traitor to your country. Yes, and Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned traitor too.

How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank.

You can take your fascist campaign finance laws and the jackbooted FEC anti-free-speech enforcers you are empowering and put them where the sun don't shine. And if this post is in violation of your unconstitutional law, shove it too!

Paraphrased from In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed:

The Beast never dies, it simply changes form. The Beast has known many forms: Bolshevism, communism, Nazism, fascism. The Beast has had many names: Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Tojo, Mao, Pol Pot.

The Beast cannot co-exist with freedom. The very first freedom lost is the freedom of speech, then religion, knowledge and the arts. Anything that empowers the individual must be destroyed. The state must control all.

Power to the state.

Power as an end to itself.

Those who speak out against the Beast are labeled extremists, radicals, warmongers. Churchill, McCarthy, Reagan.

The Beast must be contained, appeased. We must have "Detente" at any cost. Direct confrontation of the Beast must be avoided.

Appease him and pray the wolf may pass our door.

Free speech must die.

The Beast never dies.

Hillary Calls For End To Electoral College

ALBANY, New York, Nov. 20, 2000

(AP) Senator-elect Hillary Rodham Clinton began a victory tour of upstate New York Friday by calling for elimination of the Electoral College.

At an airport news conference, the first lady said she would support legislation seeking a constitutional amendment providing for the direct election of the president.

At the moment, Americans are waiting to see who wins Florida's 25 electoral votes and thus becomes the next president. Vice President Al Gore leads Republican George W. Bush in the popular vote nationwide.

"We are a very different country than we were 200 years ago," Clinton said. "I believe strongly that in a democracy, we should respect the will of the people and to me, that means it's time to do away with the Electoral College and move to the popular election of our president."

The first lady also said that because of the closeness of this year's presidential election, "I hope no one is ever in doubt again about whether their vote counts."

You are so right...I am MORE angry about that...well, until he makes it so FR has to shut down before an election to anything but recipe talk...

All I do know is...we have to fight like heck to keep him off the ballot in 2008...because we CANNOT, as much as we would like to...stay home or vote 3rd party..

Hillary, Feingold, Gore, Kerry...any of them would just be so much worse.

Jim, I agree 100% with you on McCain. Nothing on this Earth would ever get me to vote for McCain. For all those who would vote McCain over Hillary, you must NOT be looking long term. Think about McCain as President. McCain is unstable, prone to irrational heated actions. He would be extremely dangerous in the top office. I have no doubt some event would occur and McInsane would react in a way that would threaten the future of our great Republic. He would make the Republican party the minority party for a generation. In four years he would likely destroy the future of the Republican party. McCain seeks power for power's sake. There is nothing redeeming about him. God help this Republic is this vile human becomes President.

"That seems to be a problem with some of the Republican Senators huh?"

WRONG...It applies to both parties alike.

It's a serious problem with all elected politicians, and federal judges. Some are walking and talking mummies, that want to hang on all the way to the grave. It goes to the heart of term limits, which the elected politicos have rejected...democrats included.

This is absolutely outrageous. Apparently neither McCain or Feingold cares about America's Constitutional freedoms! God help us all if it's McCain against Her Heinous in 2008!

My God, look what we went through with 8 years of Clinton in that office. How many conservatives, as ridiculous as it may seem now, were paranoid that he wasn't going to voluntarily leave the White house. I do not want to relive those years, and this time for far longer.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Yes, they'll change the electoral college. And they'll impeach Bush if we lose the house in 2006. They've said it.

The above is not fear mongering but are real dangers. EVERYONE had better WAKE UP!!!!

He graduated fifth from the bottom of the class of '58 the great.' He was not a serious student. His grandfather and father were both Academy graduates so he was 'expected' to attend. He rebelled.

---We're the ones who actively campaign for candidates and give $$ to candidates; we're also the ones who actually bother to vote in primaries.---

Quite true, but look at the last election. They didn't want Kerry. Kerry got the Dim nomination because Mr. Grassroots imploded in the middle of the primary. Don't think the same misfortune couldn't happen to us.

(SNIP)
John McCain is, and as such, his character can and should be examined.

What is the real story behind his days as a POW? The U.S. Veteran Dispatch had an article in June of 1996 entitled "POW Songbird McCain Wrongly Described As A Hero." It recounted numerous instances where John McCain violated the Military Coda of Conduct, which specifically orders American personnel to give the enemy no information other than name, rank, serial number, and date of birth. It requires that they accept no favors from the enemy, and to make no written or oral statement disloyal to the United States.

The fact is, in exchange for better medical treatment, McCain violated this code four days after being captured on Oct. 26, 1967. In a U.S. News and World Report interview dated May 14, 1973, two months after he was released, McCain admitted that he exchanged military information in exchange for spending six weeks in a hospital normally reserve for North Vietnamese Military officers.

U.S. government records show that less than two weeks after he was taken to the hospital, Hanoi's press began quoting specific military information, including the name of the aircraft carrier on which McCain had been based, information about the location of rescue ships and the order of which his attack was supposed to take place. The records demonstrate, according to the Dispatch article that McCain continued to collaborate with the Communists after he recovered from his injuries. He did a number of propaganda broadcasts that were aimed at destroying the moral of American servicemen fighting in the jungles of South Vietnam, On June 4, 1969, a U.S. Wire Service story reported one of McCain's broadcasts.

The service reported "Hanoi has aired a broadcast in which the pilot son of the U.S. Commander in the Pacific, Adm. John McCain purportedly admits to having bombed civilian targets in North Vietnam and praised medical treatment he has received since being taken prisoner."

McCain committed other breaches of the Code of Conduct by meeting with and giving interviews to foreign news reporters and anti American delegations.

McCain admits to talking with numerous high-ranking North Vietnamese leaders, including General Vo Nguyen Giap, their Minister of Defense.

He also did a cozy interview over coffee, oranges, and cake wish a Cuban psychiatrist, which took place in the Hanoi office of the Committee for Foreign Cultural Relations.

He failed to "evade answering questions to the utmost of his ability;" by actually conversing with his interviewer in Spanish.

Perhaps these are some of the reasons why John McCain hip been so instrumental in discounting any suggestion that live prisoners of war still languish in Southeast Asia. It certainly does explain to me why he traveled to Hanoi in May of 1993 with soon-to-be Ambassador to Vietnam Pete Peterson, and convinced the Communist leadership to agree that they would NEVER MAKE PUBLIC THEIR INTERROGATION FILES OF AMERICAN POWs.

It should have made him ineligible to sit in judgment of those men who still wait for freedom. I believe it clearly makes him morally unfit to ever lead this nation, to be the Commander of all our armed forces someday.
