Re: Your attempt to shut down political free speech on the Internet

John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts to find even one thread, one post, one paragraph, one sentence or even one lousy word posted to this web site that is not fully protected by the First Amendment!

And I will extend that to one chapter, one group, one poster or any group of posters on this forum. Name one assembly, petition, letter, protest, meeting or rally convened, filed, submitted, attended or supported by members of this forum that is not 100% protected and guaranteed as free speech or free assembly by the First Amendment!

Your McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation is a treasonous act. You and your cohorts are attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same constitution that you swore an oath to defend, so help you God! That makes you a domestic enemy of that great document and a traitor to your country. Yes, and Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned traitor too.

How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank.

You can take your fascist campaign finance laws and the jackbooted FEC anti-free-speech enforcers you are empowering and put them where the sun don't shine. And if this post is in violation of your unconstitutional law, shove it too!

Paraphrased from In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed:

The Beast never dies, it simply changes form. The Beast has known many forms: Bolshevism, communism, Nazism, fascism. The Beast has had many names: Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Tojo, Mao, Pol Pot.

The Beast cannot co-exist with freedom. The very first freedom lost is the freedom of speech, then religion, knowledge and the arts. Anything that empowers the individual must be destroyed. The state must control all.

Power to the state.

Power as an end to itself.

Those who speak out against the Beast are labeled extremists, radicals, warmongers. Churchill, McCarthy, Reagan.

The Beast must be contained, appeased. We must have "Detente" at any cost. Direct confrontation of the Beast must be avoided.

Appease him and pray the wolf may pass our door.

Free speech must die.

The Beast never dies.

McCain Feingold has a provision that exempts INDIAN contributions from the rule. McCain gets his mega bucks from his many Arizona and national tribal bag people..

Jim, I agree. McCain was a hero gone very bad. As a retired Naval Officer, I hold him in contempt for his devicive and self-serving politicss. He is a bitter man with more than one loose screw.

Good morning. Hey Mod, this guy Jim Robinson posted a vanity and hasn't responded once on this thread. I think he's a troll. Zot em!

In all seriousness, the clinton's and their White House basement couldn't stop us. The NYT, WaPo and LAT couldn't stop us. Capt. Queeq, and the FEC isn't going to stop us either.

I ask Jim Rob this question paraphrased from Claire Wolfe: "Is it time yet?"

" I won't aid in electing democrats by wasting my vote on a 3rd party or by staying home. "

That spells it out for those that are deaf and dumb.

"IF" McCain wins our nomination, he gets my vote."

That "if" is a real looooong shot, but I must agree.

McCain has a 0% rating from both NARAL and Planned Parenthood

He campaigns for PRO ABORTION Republicans (see 2004 Campbell in California race) AND he is a board member of the "Its my party Too" PAC which works to get liberal Republicans elected.

You are free to voice your opinion just as I am free to voice mine.

Not if McCain gets his way.

I'm a "zonie" too, and I think Sen. Kyl is great. It's too bad McLame gets all the glory from the media.

"Um...yeah. It even affects people being able to express their own opinions on their own blogs or on Web forums such as here on the FR."

I'm not saying you are wrong but I read every word of the thing last night and don't see how it effects unpaid speech. I realize that at least one county judge has ruled that way but that appears to be judicial abuse rather than reading the law as written.

Do you know what part of the bill people believe will prevent unpaid political statements by people not affiliated with a campaign on forums?

If the bill really does that then, of course, it will be a huge issue - big enough to prevent McCain from getting the nomination, I would think.

The Beast never dies, it simply changes form.

So true.....

And so if it is between two Beasts .....the quandry is "what to do"?.....McCain or The Beast? There are many who would not vote at all...take the Perot route and in effect vote for her and therefore let her take it and watch the place go up in flames.

Here's a poem to explain what happened to me in an awkward moment during the State of the Union

Okay, ready?

My shorts were up my crack,
So get off my back.

There. That explains why I was standing when Bush started his typical b*&^%&^ about tax cuts and making them permanent. The ol' tighty-whities were climbing mighty, you might say. Whooo. So, I was clapping when I stood up because all of those radical right-wing Republican wannabes are preening for the camera in an election year.

If I don't clap, Frist gives me the cold stare like ... oh, Mikulski when she's smiling. You get the picture.

So, don't make too much of it. I will "move right" and all that bravo sierra for the radical religious Republican base.

And then it's off to Mavericksville, baby.

LOL!!!!

The Beast is alive and well in the United States in the likes of McCain, the Clintons and others. And I fear that they are far more dangerous and insidious than any foreign enemy we have ever faced.

AMEN! It has always been thus! At least for 2500 years or so!

"A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victim, and he wears their face and their garments and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared. The traitor is the plague." Cicero, About 2500 years ago

That's why term limits are needed.

Term limits are a terrible idea. They ensure EVERY politician has one full lame duck term where they can do whatever they want as they aren't accountable to the voter next election. And when we actually do find and elect a good representative, term limits prohibits us from keeping him in office. The framers of the Constitution considered term limits and rejected them. As do I. There are things that are broken and dishonest incumbents are too hard to dislodge. So let's fix what's broken without shooting ourselves in the foot.
