You load 16 tons and what do you get? Another day older and deeper in debt. St. Peter don't ya call me 'cause I can't go, I owe my soul to the company store.

Oh! The clotes need washin' and the fire won't start. Kids all cryin' and your breakin' my heart.

Whole darn place is fallin' apart. Maybe things'll get a little better in the mornin' maybe things'll bet a little better

Work your fingers to the bone and whaddy ya get? Boney fingers, boney fingers

They're closin' down the textile mill across the railroad tracks, foreman says these jobs are goin' boys and they ain't comin' back, to your hometown.

I'm really sorry for what you are going through. I've seen my hometown go from one of the best small towns to grow up in to now being almost extinct. We used to have several grocery stores and many shops et al, and now we have a Super WalMart and one grocery store. All happening in the name of "Progress"! I will be praying for you and your circumstances.

Bear with me here.

You bought a pizza shop in Lorain Ohio? Right?

Some companies left which essentially gutted your lunch business?

You tried promotions and whatever and are at the end of your rope? Right? Just trying to be clear.

I think I can help, but go figure :)

That's good, maybe he'll be taking care of you one of these days. Dad needs a boat.. hahaha

He's a good kid. If he made it big, I'm certain he'd want to take care of me. With me, all I'd need is a big, customized RV.

Convert your pizza parlor to one fo the five "recession-proof" businesses:

1. Booze
2. Cigarettes
3. Vice
4. Mortuary
5. Combination of 1-4.

Yes, your correct, put everything I had into buying the place (1st mistake). Now some big businesses left, Ford, Marconi, US Steel is downsized.

Just read the paper this morning, construction business that's been here since 1923 is going out of business now too.

I really can't afford to move my business, this is it. I used all my capital to get to this point. Now I can't even put a new roof on the place.

Thank you. Thought this pizza place was the answer to my prayers. Maybe I just don't understand what the answer is.

So I'm gonna shoot this at you out of left field.

I am not suggesting you make bad tasting food. Far from it actually. What I'm going to suggest probably won't help you in the slightest. I'm just asking that you hear me out.

I lived in Ohio for 28 years. I currently live in NJ, I worked in Manhatten and as far as I can tell, no one on the eastern seaboard has a clue about how great pizza can taste. People around here tend to fold up a slice of pizza and jam it down their gullet presumably so they don't taste it. The crust is tough, the sauce is airbrushed on and the cheese is just "there". There's probably 5 million people who would swear that kind of pizza is the best thing ever. I think it's crap. In fact, I think, if they knew the forumula for good pizza, Ray's pizza in Manhatten would go out of business in a year.

A guy in Alliance Ohio broke the mold, and makes pizza that will bring in folks for miles. He brought it to the town I grew up in, and 20 years later, he's still there. Yeah, I know, how great can it be? It's fantastic. Al & Dave's, Sports Pizza and likely others. Shrug. Not what you want to hear. The Pizza is different. I think it's about how he makes the crust fluffy and thick but not greasy like a Pizza hut.

I realize this isn't helpful for your current situation. What I'm suggesting is that perhaps he might have a suggestion to make your food so attractive that your market expands. It's the best pizza going. Just a thought.
