"I would be interested in understanding how they organized such large numbers. Could be the doings of the world socialists."

Well, yes, ANSWER and other groups are behind this.

"The Act Now to Stop War & End Racism (ANSWER) coalition, which organized the Los Angeles march to win "full rights for undocumented workers," is confident its new "national action" will prove successful."

If you legalize those with homes and U.S Citizen children, you'll be signing on to them bringing over a number of immediate family members as well. Couple that with large birth rates and still more people being allowed in through guest worker programs, and you'll have actually increased the numbers of people sucking our system dry.

I'm sorry, but it's time to get serious about this. Allow folks to sell their homes and move back to Mexico. If they do that, they should live quite comfortably down there. And that's were Mexican nationals belong.

Take away the incentives to come here (jobs, free medical care, any social services, no possibility of EVER getting a green card later if caught illegall in the US) and many will tale themselves home, just like they brought themselves here. Anyone who says it is not possible either doesn't want it done, or isn't very imaginative.

Your last sentence sums up the defeatist, pro-illegal crowd perfectly. I would say that most fall in the first category.

The big mistake is the idea that this happened under GWB - it has been going on for 35 years.

Other presidents at least tried to keep the border somewhat secure - Bush wants the border rendered meaningless.

Exactly. Tancredo said last week, if we legalize these 20 million (his number) each of those will be an anchor who can bring in other family members.

If each of the 20 million brings in only 3 or so others, we're facing an influx of 80 to a 100 million.

How are we going to pay for this? How will we get such a large bloc to ever assimilate before this nation is overwhelmed? I don't trust this govt to provide the answers to these questions.

Listen, I`m all for that but I`m just looking at it realistically.

You really think annexing Mexico is a realistic idea?

Here are two ideas that are very realistic that would stop illegal immigration in it's tracks and get the current ones to self-deport.

(1) Cut off all social services to illegals.
(2) Crackdown on employers of illegal immigrants with prison time - fines are meaningless.

There, those two ideas are realistic.

Neither do I. BTW, that doesn't even take into consideration the additional people who will come in on the Bush guest worker plan. Remember, he has been very vocal that he thinks illegal immigration takes place because we don't provide for legal methods of people (flooding) coming into our nation.

No matter what that 80 to 100 million figure actually is, the plan is to augment it as well.

These folks are serously dilusional.

I guess he volunteered for Iraq when he served. Which part of the service was he in?

I think he was in the Ranger battalion, while simultaneously in SF and the Navy Seals. In his down time he was an F-15 pilot.

/sarcasm. P has never been near a military uniform except those worn by others.

Serving his country in time of war doesn't appear particularly to appeal to him (or to other Bushes of his generation)

I'm going to vomit. My daughters are half Brasilian but that doesn't mean I want 50 million Brasilians illegally here in 20 years.

So PC....they prove to be.

damn shame....we will have to do better in 08.

Does anyone know the present population of Mexico, just in case they all get in while congress is home hiding easter eggs, rather than treating the illegal alien problem as the threat to our survival that it is and staying on the job until they find a cure?

Could these mega-breeders out number us tomorrow morning if Vicente De Fox, dumped them all upon us at once?

Nope. Last I checked I believe there were about a hundred million of them left south of the Rio Grande.

Even though, there's a poll of Mexican nationals that says over half still want to come north...

How so? They have a pretty high birth rate.
